I'm doing good. It was a pretty laid back weekend. Not much going on around here lately.

I worked this weekend and had to miss my daughters swim competition

She did well in 5 events but was disqualified 4 times in her last event (200 IM). Apparently it was very funny and she took it well - just continued on even with the 4 big mistakes.

Blue: when I got back to my apartment your Christmas card was there waiting for me. Thanks. It made me smile. And I put it up on my desk even though it looks silly since it's now the middle of January.

What a lousy day. It took me 40 minutes to get to work (normally it's 7 minutes) because of the snow. And we can't close because it's price change week and we HAVE to be here. Even if we die, we have to make an effort to come to work. I'm tired, I'm crabby, I'm nervous, and I just know I'm going to take it out on someone important...

I've discovered that the drive in snow was actually easier when I lived farther away. I went on major roads that were kept clear and were heavily traveled. Now, living in the same town, the roads are not cleared nor is there much traffic, so it's more treacherous. I was talking to my team leader about the day a few weeks ago when we were sent home early due to snow; it took me 47 minutes to get across town, yet it took her only 20 minutes to get home. She lives in the next state, 3 towns away.

I have one bright light for today. If the snow stops like it's supposed to, I have a hair appointment tonight. I'll be getting my purple stripes and I'm looking forward to it.

Really? Wasn't like that for me and mine was mostly highway driving

My drive usually took me an hour on a good day but if it snowed.....hooboy, I was easily looking at 2 hours
