Hi. And I really do need to go to bed now. I will not be lured back into these late night whatever you would call this. Well, maybe I will be up later once I'm back to my old work schedule.

Anyway, I am going to my new school I'll be student teaching at bright and early tomorrow. The person who is currently student teaching there is just going to introduce me to the kids, show me around, etc.

One of the guys from the service department brought in the most heavenly rum cake today. Normally I don't partake, but since everyone was extolling the virtues of this cake, I took a piece. Dear Lord...it tastes like the rum was poured over the top and not baked in. How wonderful...

I had a nice morning with the kiddos and the new teacher seems nice. Most importantly, they don't start until 9am at this school. My old school started at 7:45. Therefore, I am happy.

Okay, I know no one will believe me but I really did know the difference between libel and slander. We learned it in Government Junior year. The teacher said "slander is spoken because it starts with an s." I totally remembered that. Anyway, I chose slander because when I am posting things I feel like I am saying them. Maybe that's just me though. I guess libel does make more sense.

Anyway, my mass preparations are well underway. I just totally cleaned the entire apartment. It's just so much nicer to come back from break to a clean apartment. I also packed everything up which involved approximately 17 trips to and from the car....up and down 3 flights of stairs, I might add. I am now headed to the parental house where I will proceed to pack for my upcoming life in Florida. I have no idea why I am giving a play by play of my day. I think I'm just stressed out.

And for some reason in the back of my mind is the fact that a 5 page paper that serves as an exam is due by 6:45. But that's so just an afterthought.

So now I will shut off the laptop and close the apartment door until January 12. It feels very strange.
