Liz, the Diva of Nail Polish!
Where the rest of us paint, you create!

Seriously, a topcoat & I only meet a few times yearly~

Which reminds me: time to call for a pedi!

It's just because I have some "sheers" that were too pretty to pass up, but I prefer the contrast of the darks on me (because I'm so pale). Put them on over a coat of black and you have a whole new colour!

For Christmas, though, I think I'm going to do a regular red with China Glaze Ruby Pumps over it, so I get the sparklies!

Thanks. No not handmade. I bought it at JoAnn Fabrics 3 years ago. It was a 1 year thing and I bought it all!

Thanks. I really liked it because it was different.

Wow. JoAnn's must have loved you that year! It really is cool, I like it.

Cheryl...good to see you back! Glad the trip went well. You're going again sometime soon?

Liz...yikes on the tire/work fiasco! Glad it all worked out and you even ended up with some time off work!

Jean...of course the hot chocolate and cookies tasted better in Disney, doesn't everything? :confused3 I also heard there's no calories in Disney food.

DM...Thanks for sharing those pictures. Very cute. We have a place around here that sets up this huge village and it looks a lot like that. We would go to see it every year when I was little. Very charming.

Squiddy...'sup?

OMG, you'd think we were starving our dog! She's on Prednisone again for her allergy, and all she wants to do is eat. She jumped on us repeatedly while we were eating dinner, then barked until we gave her some of her dry food with leftover gravy mixed in. Then she tried to get in the garbage. THEN...she stared at Mum for 20 minutes, then sat up and stared at her, then started smacking her until I went and got her a cup of her ice cream (yes, the dog gets ice cream). After that, I got some cookies for myself - she jumped on the chair next to me, sat, and stared. When I didn't give her any, she climbed into my lap.

For the record, she's small for a cocker spaniel - she was only 6 pounds when we got her, at 11 weeks old. She's 25 pounds now, so she's certainly not starving.

That sounds like my dog. She's on potassium bromide and valium for seizures and I think it makes her lethargic and extra hungry. We started mixing green beans and broccoli with her food because it fills her up but it's not fattening. She eats it and seems to enjoy it too! Then again, if your dog is used to ice cream, broccoli might not go over so well! :rotfl:

Broccoli? I'm glad I don't have to sleep in the same room as your dog...

Night, Nuts. And hi to any late night Nuts who might show up.
Think snow delay tonight. :wizard:

Morning, Nutter Butters.

The maternal unit has 2 job interviews today. She's at one right now. They seemed very excited; I faxed her resume for her yesterday, and they called her at 3 and scheduled the interview for first thing this morning. One of these jobs had better come through.

And my vertigo is starting up again.

A little something for your Mom Liz!

Vertigo?

Jean!

On behalf of my mother, I thank you. She thinks the first interview went okay. She's probably just finishing up with the 2nd one now. I haven't heard from her yet.

I know, I've been singing U2's Vertigo all day. It bites having it. I think it's because I can't hear on one side. I saw a doctor about it a few years ago and he seemed to think that's causing it; my equilibrium is off. It's a yucky feeling.

Liz...do you know how the interviews went yet? Sorry about the yucky feeling

Jean....hi.

I'm off to class. It snowed today for the first time so it was a fun day at school. Wednesdays aren't my day to take the kids out for recess but I requested to and of course my teacher let me. I had a blast playing with them outside!!! They were absolutely adorable too. Hope everyone had a nice Wednesday.

Still haven't heard back about the 2nd interview. She probably figures she'll tell me when I get home.

Liz, can you take seasickness tabs for the vertigo? or one of those wrist bands?

PJ, what kind of things did you do with the kiddies at recess? I am imaging how cute you all must've looked!

Hmm...where are Dawn, Cheryl & Keith?

I won't ask about Heidi as she said she'd be in next week, so Sunday @ one second past midnite I am sitting here like a dog!

Does anyone think it's suspicious Rob & Squiddy & that smilie postin' Canadienne are off and wanderin'? :rolleyes1

I don't know if seasickness tabs would help...do they work when it's caused by nerve deafness? I've sort of been okay today - a few short bouts of it early this morning, but for the most part, I haven't felt it much. Seems to also coincide with hunger. Not always, though.

May I prescribe Tonga Toast & a Kona press pot?
According to Miss PJ, WDW food contains no calories at all!

Or barring that, just a general munch-a-thon involving Italian or Indian food?

I won't even tell you what I'd do for some semi-decent Indian or Thai! I swear, I live in the armpit of New England...a Dunkin Donuts every 10 feet, but a complete lack of take-out variety. That's okay, though, because no one I know will try it. We just got a Japanese place and my mother refuses to consider it.

We have to wicked travel for anything other than pizza :rotfl:

Surprisingly there are about 4 decent Thai places within an hr's drive--not a far ride for out here in the stickeddysticksticks! Heck, D&D is 20 minutes one way.
Only one Indian spot & I am sooo afraid they'll go out of business as it seems there're never jamming.

Another overcast day here, I don't know how much longer my WDW sunshine high can hold out!
