Well, I now know what it's like to have a teenage daughter...

First of all, I got home, and my mother immediately blamed me that she wasn't applying for a job. Apparently I was supposed to help her email her resume, but I didn't. Uh, she never asked for help. So I said I'd help her after dinner. That was an HOUR ago. I've been sitting there waiting...first, "I want to look around a little on the internet." Then when she finished, her friend called and she's giggling away on the phone.

Anyone else get the impression that she doesn't want to get a job?

I honestly don't care what she gets, just get something for now and earn some money! I truly have a whole new respect for her; this is exactly what I put her through almost 20 years ago.

We did get the resume sent, although even I have to admit, something isn't right about this job. Full time and they're only paying $13,000 a year? We tried working it out and that's less than minimum wage. She also says she's going to go apply for P/T seasonal at Linens 'n Things tomorrow. That's fine in the meantime, too; it would be some money coming in, but she can keep looking for a permanent F/T job elsewhere.

I have been having some trouble with my gallbladder, so I have to get everything fat-free. Now I order a venti, nonfat, no whip White Chocolate Mocha. I miss my fattening whipped cream. I'm sure the toffee almond bar makes up for it. My other addiction there is the Caramel Macchiato.

I know our DD doesn't have it. They know my order there. Large hot caramel latte light, no whipped cream, with Splenda. My husband ordered me one the other day, and someone else started making it regular. My "friend" that took the order started screaming at her "LIGHT! NO WHIPPED CREAM! SPLENDA!"

Jean - I don't think so; it's for a referral coordinator for a medical office. Someone who would spend all day calling insurance companies and getting referrals for patients. I can't imagine there would be commission involved there. Maybe it is a misprint and should have been $23k.

Then she said, "I don't know if I can do a job like that." Uh...can you press phone buttons and speak? Then you can do it.

OMG...Um...yeah...let's just say my 53-year-old Mum isn't exactly Hooters material! For that matter, I am not Hooters material either...

I might do red on a black tree, but I'd most likely just do white and silver. Lots of ribbons and lace - gothic Victorian, 'natch!

They're on Treetopia.com. I'm tempted to get a 4' !

You could silver spray paint some doilies, make paper cones out of them, use a pretty ribbon for a handle & fill with dried flowers or pretty candies...
