Mixed Nuts Part 2

Anyone do anything exciting tonight?? Not including people that are at WDW.
We went to the local high school football game tonight. Our side lost 23-20 but it went into triple overtime. Then we went to Red Robin for a hamburger (first time I had ever been to one). I had the Royal Red Robin Burger which is topped with American cheese, tomatoes, a fresh FRIED EGG, three strips of bacon, lettuce, and mayo. Though I love fried egg sandwiches, I had never had a fried egg on a burger before -- I thought it was pretty good. :thumbsup2

I read about a terrible tragedy tonight on the TR boards.

Winklers See The World 2007

They lost their beautiful baby boy in a car accident last week.

:sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

:( That is sooo sad.:sad1: ironically I happened to click on any old page of that TR and her husband had just gotten into an acident!
I can't even imagine what they are going through right now. This is the second terribly sad story I have heard today.:sad1:

I know. Me neither :(

The loss of a child is the worst.

I'm not very talkative tonight so I'm heading off to bed.

Night Cheryl

Thank you Everyone for the 5,000th posts Congrats! :cloud9:

I am AWOL again today.
Last night was the 1st night of our event, and while not stellar (only recorded music and not as large a crowd as we'd like) it was certainly wonderful to see lots of folks savoring the old house lit and dressed in all it's glory!
The crowd seemed veryinterested in all things museum-y.

Oh, Blue, I read that link, :sad1:
Does it get any more heart breaking than losing a child?

Rob, wow! What a game that must've been! :scared1:
Okay, why the fried egg on a burger? Just for the halibut?

Oh, and there's certainly a LOT of confusion here abouts!

Hmm...I wonder if anyone's having breakfast @ WDW this AM :confused3

Keene Pumpkin Festival, Keene NH!

Oct 20th this year!
Keene has held the most Guinness jack o' lantern titles ever!
In fact Keene invented the Guiness catagory!

There are shuttle buses. Entertainment & activities all day!
Bring a carved pumpkin (s) if you go!
Big City Boston beat us out by less than 200 pumpkins last time out!
Not sayin' much vs Keene's popultation of 22,700!

Just a quick hello and good night.
I was really bummed out after reading about that baby yesterday, plus my cousin's best friend lost her two HS children in a car accident as well.. I just hate hearing about these things. I could hardly sleep last night.
Hope evryone has a good Sunday.

Finally got our internet back - we were out all day yesterday. I had 247 spam emails this morning.

My mother's friends helped us move all my big stuff on Friday night. I spent yesterday getting my books organized, and now I'm moving my recliner in and finishing up.

We also had to take Tara to the vet again yesterday for the incessant scratching and chewing on her paws. We got the "holistic" vet who talked a lot about her diet and getting rid of rice and any type of grains in her food. Mum was resistant at first, but she finally agreed to try; we had to go to a special store to get a particular type of food for her. It's been one day and her scratching and chewing has already gone down by about 90%. I have my fingers crossed.

I'd also like to report that Dunkin Donuts makes a darn good pumpkin latte, and I just ate an entire bag of teriyaki beef jerky. That's all.

Me again...does anyone else have a dog that thinks that any blanket on the floor belongs to him/her? I was changing my sheets and Stinkerbell decided that my quilt and blanket would be a nice place for a quick snooze...

Hello Nuts.

Busy weekend. Seemed to linger on though.
Lots of sports in the background too. Red Sox :( What a long game.
Patriots Rock!

Finally got our Halloween decorations up, pulled some giant weeds, pressure washed the house and worked, PHEW!! Is it Monday yet?

KJ went fishing with my neighbor and his son today. He was so excited about the "one that got away". He suspected a snook took all his line, and he was so big, we could have eaten him! Lol
Next week they are going fishing (catching) stone crabs. YUM!!

Crystina went to the USF/UCF college football game in Tampa. UCF lost big time!! LOL USF is suprising everyone this season, I think they are ranked 5 right now, which is amazing!!

The weather was just stunning tonight! It was a cool night for a change. Felt great. Still a bit warm during the day, but less humid.

Well, that's about all from here.

It's the cats here. They will sleep on anything and everything.

Hello Nuts! I am a bit under the weather and it seems to be getting worse instead of better so I may be home tomorrow (for me, sick time and vacation time all come out of the same "time bucket" so no advantage to me calling in sick unless I really need to). Still, just a MINOR illness so no reason to feel sorry for old Rob (like you all would anyway :sad2: -- well, Keith might).

Getting my siggy ready for the new signature rules... New signature rules

Cheryl -- how did the BoSox lose a game in postseason? That's not part of the script (especially at Fenway)!

Sorry you didn't get the entertainment you would have liked. I bet everyone enjoyed themselves anyway. You'll have to post pictures someday.
How did the rest of the weekend go?

Oh no, we have new siggy rules?? I don't think I'm gonna like that.

I couldn't believe they lost at Fenway, not good! DH was in a crappy mood after that and staying up late for it too!!

I hope you feel better soon, I hate when I'm under the weather.

Cute new siggy!

I'm not so happy about the new siggy guideline, not even sure how you figure it out or if mine is within guidelines.
But, I just loved the reason why people can't turn them off. "because new people don't know about it"
So, instead of new people reading about how to turn off the siggy if they are on dial up, we have to cut down our siggys.
Well, can't complain too much, it's a free board.
But, I know I always turn off my siggys when I'm on dial up.

I hope it continues to work Liz!!! I'll cross my fingers too :goodvibes

BTW - Tara is an adorable dog!

It's getting quite chilly here :(

I will not let DH take our boat in just yet...I'm waiting for that "one" warm day to go out for our last time before winter.

I wouldn't take it in yet either. I'm sure you will have a few more "surprise" warm days to come!
