No permission required from me & mine. Post pictures to your heart's content. As that morning was our last day, we were tired too. We had fun meeting you. I'll be doing a trip report too, so expect turnarounds on the pics. But I have to finish my June trip report first, before I start on my July/August one. Life's a beeotch, ain't it? Seriously, that's not a bad problem to have. (Two trip reports to write)

By the way E, when I was in Indiana the previous weekend, I stayed with one of my buddies who lives in Terre Haute (where my formative teenage years took place). Anyway, that Sunday (7/29) was the first day of Colts training camp at Rose Hulman. I saw a couple of big charter buses in that part of town, and some extremely fancy-shmancy cars too. I might have seen Mr. Manning too - who knows?

I had to drive back home to TN that day so I couldn't stay long - just enough time to drive around town a bit, reminisce, and throw rocks at an ex-girlfriend's house. I bet the people who live there now were really confused - an SUV w/ TN tags peeling out on the street right outside on a bright Sunday morning... Just kidding about the throwing rocks at an ex-GF's house. It was really an old teacher's house...

I spent most of the day that Saturday (7/28) in Indy - the first part of the day was the welcome home party for my ex-Iraq-service buddy, and the later part was dodging Brickyard 400 traffic on the west side of town while scouting out crotch rockets for my other buddy's impending mid-life crisis. I also got some fuel for my own impending mid-life crisis - there were lots of Brickyard pace-car edition Corvette convertibles (beautiful yellow courtesy cars) driving around west-side Indy for me to salivate over.

No, just every two months! KC used to do it like you described and our city staff did an analysis and found that it was cheaper to drive the "heavy trash pickup" routes and just hit every home that might have something out on their assigned day than it was to respond to individual calls for pickup on a random basis at various spots sprinkled throughout the city (possibly because we are one of the largest cities -- by square miles -- in the United States). And, might I add, this has been a fascinating topic of discussion.

We ain't too smart in Ohio. You know I live basically in Kentucky, right? We're all hillbillies, we have no teeth, and we know nothing about garbage collection.
