Hi Liz! The last weeks with a grandparent, knowing that the end of their earthly life is coming, definitely isn't fun. My paternal grandfather was one of the kindest, most patient men in the world but became a super grouch his last few months here on Earth with us, so I can empathize with what you're seeing from your grandmother.

It would be funny if it wasn't actually kind of annoying. She's got a table next to her and she's always telling us, "Put this here..." and before you do it, she's telling us to put something else "over here. Now put my light on..." It's like, okay, one thing at a time, please, I only have two hands...

Then she snaps at me because she can't hear me talk. I can't speak very loudly right now, so often my mother has to repeat what I've said.

But I don't want to feel like this. It's not me. I'm missing Andrea's bridal shower on Sunday because of it (although I really don't want to go anyway, and I'm waffling on the wedding itself, even though I know I pretty much have to go).

I know. You must feel helpless. I know I did. Did you ever find a gift for her?
