Mixed Nuts Part 2

In our too-many-dang-days-to-count of temps near 100 (sometimes just under, sometimes just over), we LOST POWER tonight for 75 minutes! I had just made plans to head to some place cooler (no power = no cooling) and was loading the car when it came back on.

Unfortunately, now I still have to do about an hour's worth of work before I go to bed tonight. Reason: I got a decent midyear review at work today and want to keep the ball rolling.

I was fine today, blue-y!
Meetings, meetings & yes, meetings! At one point I was battling falling asleep. Ewww, I was sooo frightened all those fellows would take advantage of poor, defenseless sleeping me!

But, um, why? Why would somebody even try this?

Peanut butter on hamburgers (goober burgers) is my "secret" peanut butter gem. I will also say that Elvis had it right when he added sliced bananas to that combo but that does tend to get very messy.

Ugh, I hate credit cards...how long is it supposed to take a balance transfer to post? Today is the due date for my Firestone bill. On Thursday, I transferred the entire balance to a (much better) Citicard. The transfer was approved on Friday morning, but Firestone hasn't credited my account! I've made payments the day before they were due and they credited right away.

Never mind that Firestone also up and stopped sending me statements. It was a sudden thing - no notice, nothing. I'm not signed up for paperless either. They'd better credit my account and then I'm done with them.

ETA: And the addresses for both companies are in the same city, so even if Citicards sent them a paper check, it should have been received and cashed by now. Yes, I'm freaking out a little.
