Has anyone who used Misty Miotto for their photography used her to do your makeup? I believe I'm going to use her for my photography, I love her style. Im considering having her do my make-up as well.

It's very lonely here on this thread all by myself. I took a shower and everything! :rotfl:

I guess no one has used Misty for make-up, soooooooooooooooooo in that case, can anyone comment on her photographic style and her personality and how she works with her subjects.

Thanks!

well, I didn't use Misty at all so I really don't feel qualified to answer your question but I felt bad for you posting all by yourself!;) :rotfl2:

Seriously, I haven't heard anything at all about the make-up but I have heard raves from other brides about her photography. I have seen a few pics here and there and they were beautiful!

I'm assuming you've looked at her website? Have you talked to her at all?

I've also asked this question awhile back and as far as the make up part, no one answered me either:sad1: I've seen Misty's work and it looks amazing. Other brides who have used her for photography had nothing but great things to say about her.

I'm using her for our wedding but only for the photos

Thanks for keeping me company! I have been to her website and it's amazing. Randy is not available on my date so I really feel Misty will give us the same photographic style. I really like the point she makes about being washed out because of the make-up we use...I would rather her do it and it's really not a bad price $45/face...so I have her booked to do me and my sister, who is going to stand in the vr with me.

BaBeeCee14,
Her website is great. I love her style!

Orangetiggs,
I will be anxiously waiting to see your pictures. If you don't mind my asking, what package did you choose with Misty?

Thanks girls for responding!

we are just going with the cd only one that was 887 as we are in the uk so we thought we can do an album over here and save on the shipping

if you email ehr she will give you some password to see other wedding there are some great ones

:grouphug: Thanks Orangetiggs,

I chose the CD only package too. I chose the 8 hour package, althought I could probably go with the 6. hm....I'm rethinking this decision now. I need to email Misty and talk with her about the timing. Thanks for the hint about other pics..I'll ask about that too!

My DD is getting married on Halloween and we will be using Misty for photography as well as makeup. She is doing bride's and MOH's makeup. If you want to PM me after Nov. 1, I will be happy to tell you how things turned out. If I could remember I would PM you but my brain will probably be mush by then!

Mental Note: must PM Caniacdeb after Nov 1, after recovery from DD's wedding. :grouphug: Enjoy the wedding!

We just had our wedding on October 29th and used Misty for the photography. I didn't use her for makeup, as we were doing the MKPS the same day as the ceremony, and I didn't want to make her come that early and then try and start the photography several hours later.

We haven't seen any of the pictures yet, but working with her and her husband was great! They were fantastic about doing what we wanted as well as suggesting photos. We had an intimate ceremony, and we went with a 6 hour, cd only package. My DH felt that was WAY too long, I think, but to get what I wanted, it was about right.

We didn't do any of the traditional "getting ready"photos, as I didn't reallly care about those. We started photography at about 8 a.m. after the MKPS, and had her meet us at the Wedding Pavilion. We rode over there from Shades of Green in the limo, and she started shooting us as we got out of the limo. Our wedding was at 10 a.m., and we used all the time before to take all the family shots and to get as much of the shots around the Pavilion as possible.

After the ceremony, we got a few more outside before we moved over to the Grand Floridian. They took pictures during the cake and champagne reception and first dance, father/daughter dance, and mother/son dance. We also made sure they got shots of everyone attending the wedding.

At that point, We told everyone to meet us at Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge at 2 p.m. for lunch. DH, my sister (also my MOH), and her husband, and I all went with Misty and her husband to get pictures. (Getting some nice pictures of my sis and her DH was my MOH present to my sis.) We took a few at the Grand Floridian, but I feel like a lot of the settings there are similar to what you could get anywhere, and I wanted Disney unique pictures.

So, we then took the limo which dropped us off outside of Epcot. We got some nice shots outside of Epcot, including some with the monorail in the background, then took the monorail to the TTC. From there, we took the ferry to the MK, and got some really incredible (well, I hope so, they looked like they should be incredible) shots on the ferry on the way over. Took more shots outside the MK, then took the monorail over to the Polynesian. We happened upon a Lassen dolphin sculpture, which was really lucky, because dolphins are my favorites - my DH gave me a private training session with the dolphins at the aquarium for our engagement - and got a picture with that, and then more pictures several places around the Poly before we took the boats to go to the Wilderness lodge.

We got a few more shots around the Wilderness lodge before lunch, and they even got a few shots of the start of lunch for us.

My DH was not real happy about all the walking - 6 hours of pictures in tux shoes was not his idea of fun! But Misty and her husband were great about getting all the location shots!

Misty is doing my wedding as well, and she did our e-pics. Her and her husband were both great and the pics came out awesome. I couldn't have been happier. I can't wait for her to take our wedding pics.

I am back from my DD's wedding on 10/31. We had Misty for both makeup for DD and MOH and the pictures. She was a dream to work with. I honestly did not have much personal interaction(other than telling me where to pose)
but my DD did and she thought she was wonderful. Both girls were pleased with how their makeup turned out. She took a lot of unusual shots as well as the traditional ones. Can't wait to see the pictures!

I'm glad to see you checked in after the wedding. I hope all went well. I'm excited to see some of the pictures. Thanks for the input of Misty. I spoke with her on the phone the other day and she's just a sweetheart!

Can't wait to see pics!popcorn::
