Mistakes on our Bill!!

Hi,
We just talked to all the familes that we travel with. On the last morning everyone went their own way. Some had early flights and some flew home on different airlines.
So tonight we all talked and it seems that out of five cabins all five were over charged and had charges that weren't theirs.
One family were charged for two extra coke mugs and six waters.They told them they would check and get back to them When they got their final bill they had removed the charges. If they hadn't paid attention that was over seventy dollars extra. Some had their excurison charged twice.
When we were on the ship I mentioned the fact that the bars did not give us a copy of our charges. They said they never did. All other cruises I have gone on always gave receipts. Then I was told that if I requested one that they would give them to me. But not once did they. I just made sure I had a print out everyday so I could check things. Our mistakes were putting my charges on my daughters bill. I didn't mind but she seemed too! Hmm some people are so picking!!

Hmmm....

We've never had any problems with our onboard charges. But, it's been two years since our last cruise. It sounds like some validation of charges should be put in place.
 
We had 2 rooms and everything got charged to one room when we had specified 2 separate rooms/2 separate portfolios/2 separate charge accounts. I called. The DCL person was horrified and said accounting would take care of the problem and find out why it happened and that they would get back to me. No one ever called.
 

That must be new about the bar charges as we always have recieved a slip- I made fun of DH keepiong them in December to check against the bill. I guess he wasn't so silly afterall.
 
Over the course of our 7 DCL cruises we have definiately had discrepancies on some of our bills. I also get a print out every other day to check to see what charges were made. It is much easier to find a mistake this way than to wait until the end of the week....memory gets fuzzy by then!!

I hadn't even thought about having to do that. Guess I'll have to pay close attention to our charges when we go. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

We have had the same thing happen on our last two Disney Cruises -- room services we never had, bar bills from bars we didn't frequent, etc.. We have always kept all of our receipts to compare and check out the itemized bill before we leave the ship. We take any discrepencies up with Guest Services and they've always been able to take care of us.
 
Hubby has gone down and requested a copy of the bill mid-day on the last full day on board. The last time we were charged for 2 water bottle straps instead of one.
It was fixed without a problem.

I hope the added charges weren't to much $$.
