Mistaken quote???

My sister received a pin via email, she forwarded it to me (I'm the unofficial travel agent in the family). I called Disney last night and spoke with a wonderful rep. She gave me a crazy low quote for club level BC but she could not hold the room for me since it was my sisters pin. I called back today, with my sister, and they said the figure she gave me was wrong. She actually gave me 11 different figures, for different room views etc. that were all wrong. I think Disney should honor the quote, has anyone else been through this? Thanks for your help.

Unless she has it in writing with all inclusions, I don't see a way to argue for the initial quote.

The problem is, as you see in your call back, there are several room options that can change rapidly effecting price... not to mention if the initial quote was for room only or package and what may have been included with package.

Honestly, it sounds like the initial call was a quote either missing elements or for a different room category. I called once and got a really low quote... until I realized it didn't include tickets (just didn't check the box).

FWIW, rates are published so you can find the rack rate and then apply PIN discount and see where it comes out... anything lower seems a fluke. Sorry!

If you had actually booked the wrong figures, I think they should honor it.

I guess I wasn't clear, I was booking three rooms, one for my sister, one for myself/husband, one for my daughter & her family. My sister works full time and could not call (doesn't want to bother)herself. She likes to just show up at Disney, I do all the ADR's, fastpass+, etc. She's busy all day making decisions, when she goes on vacation she loves to not have to think about it.

Not yet. She told me she had to speak to a coordinator and get back to me. I called yesterday and she is off til Tuesday. Still hopeful.

It was a huge discount that I was quoted but by the time the agent tried to book it, she put me on hold to talk with someone and then I was transferred to someone else and they explained the quote was wrong. They did not honor it as there was no payment made. It was an obvious mistake, so I didn't hold it against them.

While I can understand and appreciate your disappointment and frustration, all you received was a quote, which isn't binding until payment/deposit is made. My guess is that had you attempted to actually book the quote they would have recognized the error in the booking process and you wouldn't have been able to book at that rate anyway.

If you had booked airfare and all other sorts of information, based on an erroneous quote, then I could see fighting for it, but it appears to be either a miscommunication or a simple error and I wouldn't expect Disney to honor it.

too bad you hadn't thought fast and booked instantly...then you would have the rate locked.... otherwise it's just words.....
