Mistake on points?

I had 19 points left in my August 2021 use year. I booked SSR for 2 nights for this week which was 34 points. I didn’t want to borrow from next year so I bought 15 OTU points. Today I decided I wanted to spend an additional night. I called and they had a studio for the third night available which was 19 points. I told him to book it and borrow the points from August 2022. He told me I only had to borrow 4 points. I just said okay, thinking he was probably looking at something wrong. He booked it. After we got off the phone, I checked my account and that it all he took out of my account. My new reservation says it’s 53 points. And says only 4 points came out of 2022. Am I looking at something wrong or what?

Do you show that you still have the 3 nights booked? And, is it showing in the points activity statement that way? Be sure to check there and not just the dashboard!

It shows that I have the 3 nights on my dashboard. The points activity is weird. It shows that I had 19 points to start and then shows that I borrowed 4. Then it says it took 23 for the reservation modification. It doesn’t list the OTU points I purchased. I’m scared I’m going to show up and not have the room for the last night.

The 3 nights are showing on MDE also and I have the email confirmation showing 3 nights.

You won’t see the OTU points in the points activity because they are not part of your contract.

As long as you are seeing the full reservation and the points show that, I would not worry at this point.

Just be sure to watch your CC to ensure they didn’t process OTU points for more than you intended to buy.

When I logged in yesterday, it was showing that I had my 19 points from BRV (my home resort) plus 30 points from Aulani. Looks like they gave me an extra 15 points. I thought it was just a glitch and would straighten itself out. Will they catch that at some point? I don’t mind doing what’s right and calling back to straighten them out. But I also don’t mind a bonus 15 points

That explains it. Someone added it in twice. I think it will get caught and to be honest, I’d probably call and discuss it with someone…just to be sure that night doesn’t get canceled if it’s discovered before you go.
