I was just viewing my photos--again--from my February trip. At the American historic artifacts exhibit at the US pavilion, there is a 33 1/3 rpm record entitled "Man on the Moon." The card identifying it says it is from 1955. Well, I have the same record, and it commemorates Apollo 11, so it is from 1969. In fact, it has a quote on the back of the sleeve from Pres. Kennedy, announcing the space program, in 1961! So my question is: who can I address this correction to at the Disney organization? Thanks.

Not sure who is right or wrong... but here is where the confusion is likely coming from...

There was indeed a commemorative record released in 1969, titled "First Man on the Moon". I believe this is what the OP likely owns.

In 1955, Walt Disney released an educational film about the moon that was produced in collaboration with NASA rocket designer, Wernher von Braun. The title of that production was "Man and the Moon". It originally aired on the "Disneyland" TV show on Dec. 28th of that year. I am not sure if there was an actual 33 rpm record containing the music/soundtrack from the film, or not... but there may be.

I have not personally seen the exhibit the OP is refering to. But I have to wonder if the information in question is a reference to Disney's "Man and the Moon" (1955), as oppossed to the later Apollo mission recording (1969 MGM release).

Believe me, the one on display is the 1969 EP. On the back of the sleeve, it lists Walter Cronkite as the narrator, and the name of the producer. Below is the quote from John Kennedy establishing the race to the moon, and that is dated as 1961. It is credited as from CBS News, although strangely, there is absolutely no copyright notice on either the sleeve or the record itself.
If you like, I can send you a picture of the EP on exhibit, along with a picture of my copy--they are one and the same.
By the way, if you visit the Kennedy Space Center, the EP itself, without the sleeve, is on display there, too.
