Mission Space. Yay or nay?

I am still unsure about going on it. I love roller coasters but rides that spin like the tilt a world's get me feeling sick. I don't know if I want to chance it our not.

Mission Space was.....I'd ridden a roller coaster in jr. high and HATED it! But I promised hubby that when we were in WDW, I'd ride them all! MS was the first one we hopped on.

I had no problems at all! Don't close your eyes or look to the side, just concentrate! And I just kept telling myself "It's just a ride!" I felt dizzy for about 30 seconds after we got out and walked down the hall to the gift shop. By the time we were out in the fresh air, I was fine!

Come to find out, 3 days after we got back, I was pregnant! And it still didn't bother me!

And yes, I did ride them all! LOVED R&R, and was actually disappointed that it was over so quick! SM was ok, VERY jerky I thought, but I really didn't like ToT. That's probably one I would pass on if I had the opportunity.

Good luck!

DS10 and I absolutely loved it. All the warnings really freaked me into thinking I'd be ill but we looked straight ahead and enjoyed the thrill!

If you decide not to ride still make sure that you go through the MS shop to the interactive area, theres some fantastic things to do through there!

Hi,

I did this on Saturday morning ( about 90mins after breakfast). There was no wait.
I too was aprehensive about the ride but made a note to look at the monitor and not look left or right.
On take off i did feel a slight spinning motion and was looking left but returned to face the monitor and breathed shallow a little bit as you felt some g force.

After the ride my head felt a tiny bit woozy for a few minutes ( but not too bad at all and I walked to other attractions)

It is very well done.

Just thought I would post as one of the "nayers" of Mission Space-DH and I are thrill seekers :Pinkbounc -we love all the coasters and drops-and we never have a problem. We love them! I was concerned about being a little sick to our stomachs after MS so we made sure we followed all the advice I had heard on the DIS vregarding the ride as well as instructions during the ride. The ride was very cool but we felt awful by the time thr ride was ending and it didn't go away!! :sad2:
We decided to sit in the shade and relax for a little while. 30 minutes later-still felt sick, DH felt a little woozy. :confused3 We decided to get some water and that didn't help. We had rode MS close to 12noon so we figured it wouldn't be a waste to head back to the resort a little earlier than usual for our midday break. Well, we both felt pretty lousy for the next few hours. We ate light and tried to relax. Eventually, the gross  sick feeling we had went away and back out we went. MS is cool, but for us, it just wasn't worth the end result.

Love Mission Space and ride every chance I get.

I too, way a little woozie after my first time, but 10 minutes lates I went back on it with my DB and had a blast. We always play with all of the buttons and switches, like we are actually doing critical functions and I find that it takes out the "mental factor" It really enhances the ride and I don't feel bad afterwards.
