Mission Space Update!

When you ride, there are four people in each 'capsule' and the capsules are enclosed. So, if someone pukes, it would be just in that one capsule. Now, for the other three people in there....look out :rotfl2:

Gotcha! ;)

Good to know... because puke makes me  !

I'm heading there next week- does anyone know if this has started already? I can't do the original due to motion sickness issues. I'd like to try it if it has the new version next week.

Personally, I think they've had this in the works since before the death last month. This turnaround is a bit too fast after last month's incident. They know the attraction is popular, yet they also know that a lot of people haven't been able to experience, so now Disney has made it possible.
I agree that this has probably been in the works for a long time.

I think one of the reasons for the change is that the attraction has not been as popular as they hoped. I have not ridden it because I just can't do anything that goes around in circles. DH has ridden it probably 10 times - all the times he's ridden it, he has had a minimal wait in the standby line. I think the shortest was walk right on and the longest was 20 minutes. That's abysmal for an attraction that takes up that much space and they spent a lot of time and money on building. (And we have not been there during quiet times, we've been there during Spring break, July and the time between Christmas and New Years). There might be times in the day when it's really busy - like right after opening, but it hasn't been busy when we've been there.

I'm happy for the change. I may actually get to ride it this way. No way would I try it the old way. Although, my 2 DD's loved it the 2 times they've ridden it. So I'm glad they can have it their way and I can try it the easy way. Works for me !! :teeth:

It sounds like it's a win win for everyone now. Now maybe I can get my husband to try it this next trip.

I think it's a great idea since I can no longer ride MS due to my high blood pressure/

I believe it will begin in June.

I'm glad theyre' making a less intense version. While I dont suffer from motion sickness I really hate any ride that sucks me to the wall like that one did. I thought I was going to suffocate. I even had a pass to go on a second time and I gladly gave it away on my exit, lol.

I've ridden it twice & got mildly nauseous both times. I'm anxious to try the "Lite" version. Maybe I can get DW on it now.
