We just got back from our trip yesterday, and I wanted to give you a report for my 5 and 8 year old experiences with Mission Space.
My daughter is 5, and my son is 8.
My son and daughter are both thrill ride nuts and nothing scares them.. they love fast, fun and thrilling..
Ok, on to Mission Space. We got to Epcot on Saturday 8/23, and went on Mission Space. My daughter was with me and she was navigator, and my son was with my Husband in another vehicle..due to our party size.
she got in, did the restraint fine over her shoulders, and the screen moved into place.. no problems.
At liftoff, you do feel the "force" of liftoff from the tower. My daughter said "I'm a magnet!". She liked it. She wasn't scared at all. She liked pushing the buttons on the mission, and wasn't tramatized by it..
My 8 year old really enjoyed it! He is the thrill ride nut, and couldn't understand why other kids were crying... he went on single rider with a bunch of girls his age, and he said they cried the whole time ruining the experience... He said the G forces were similiar to some coasters we have been one (Top Thrill Dragster), so that wasn't a big deal.
ll in all, the kids enjoyed Mission Space. They weren't afraid of it, and had fun on it. My kids also did single rider fine, without us, and did fine as well.. we did a family sandwich.. the adults went first so we can man the exit.. and the kids got in dfferent vehichles and did fine . My daughter managed the restraint fine, and my son thought it was fantastic, as long as he was without criers!
