Yes, I know this attraction doesn't really need a FP, but I don't think we can even try for a 2nd FP for tier 1 ride if we haven't had 3 FPs used / expired at EPCOT. So I got Soaring, LWTL (another placeholder FP) and MS.

I did not see an option for Green or Orange, just MS. Do you just let them know which you want when you get to the FP line? I have 2 people who absolutely can't do the spinning, so I want to be sure we can choose.

Yes I believe you choose when you get there. It would be good for either side.

Yes, you can choose green or orange with the FP.

You're right... none of the tier 2 rides NEED a FP if you time them correctly. But, if you go late morning or early afternoon, it will save you from the standby line.

Actually, you'll be surprised, it may well NEED that FP, depending on when you go. I've seen 30 min lines.
I mean, technically no ride NEEDS, as in requires a FP to ride. You can always go in stand by. But a FP can save time, even if it saves 5, 10 or 15 min, it's time saved.

And yes, you pick your side when you get there, not when you pick your FP
