Missing Use Years

Just a wierd question.... Why are there no UY's in January, May, July and November (looking at the chart in the post referenced here http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1744171 )?
Since it's really just an allocation of points to physical space, why don't they spread it evenly over all 12 months?

No one really knows. I've never heard anything official from DVC/DVD.

Remember the use year months were determined back when DVC first started, 1991/1992. It may have something to do with the computers at the time (almost a decade before Y2K), or perhaps some attempt to balance membership around Disney's seasons.

Or maybe it was tied to the original opening dates of the original DVC resort (now named OKW). Those might be the planned opening months of the various buildings as OKW was being built. If the first buildings opened in February, that became a Use Year month. If no buildings were opened during May, then May was not a use year month.

Just speculation.
