some one took our suitcase from in front of the restaurant that we had sitting by the stroller. Had liquor in it and other stuff.

Are you on the cruise right now? Is it possible someone took it in error and you will get it back? Did you have your name on a luggage tag?

Best wishes on getting it returned.

I can see how someone could take someone suitcase in error at the airport since they all look the same on the carousel but this was in a baby stroller, I think it might set it apart from other suitcases:)

But I wonder if maybe it wasn't taken by a CM (assuming this happened on the ship) because it was 'unattended luggage', I know airports have strict rules about this.

Many people leave their strollers and luggage outside the dining rooms on the last morning as there just isn't enough room inside for all of it. I agree that you should be hearing from someone once they get home and realize that they grabbed the wrong bag. People have posted about this happening in the terminal and DCL sent their luggage to them.

I hear what you are saying.

On March 27th we boarded the Dream as, boarding #1, walked past the photographers, went directly to Enchanted Garden.

I lined up our carry on luggage along the wall at the entry area as instructed to do by the cruise line employees. By the time we were done eating it has been moved I assume by Disney cruise employees.

The Disney cruise employees were doing their best to keep the entry as open as possible and were constantly rearranging the 100+ pieces of luggage that had accumulated as we had lunch. Actually, it was more like 150+ pieces of luggage, some strollers, and just a variety of bags, back packs, a few boxes, etc. One box was ours.

We found our luggage then went to the pool deck.

I’m just saying that if the luggage was in the stroller it could have been removed by a Disney cruise line employee who was not trying to do any thing more then move items to make room for guests to enter and leave the restaurant. It could have been taken in error or it could have been stolen.

I am going to keep hoping they get their luggage back.

And this is another example of why you should label EVERY piece of luggage, carry on, shopping bag, etc. that you may carry with you. At least if it can be identified as belonging to you, you increase your chances of getting it back.

We do that plus we attach matching ugly colored hair scrunchies to the luggage handles with cable ties.

I believe they said it was sitting by the stroller not in the stroller. So it could probably have been grabbed by someone else by mistake.

I'm glad you found your luggage :)

I also hope the OP gets theirs back. I would hate to think another passenger would steal it bu listening to some of the reports on the maiden voyage where reportedly people were stealing silverware (from AP) and the pillows gives me some concern. Thankfully, from what I have been reading that behavior is rare

I don't know. I think this is a little different. People were stealing the stuff on the maiden voyage for it's value as collectibles. I don't think the OP's luggage would qualify as a collectible.

I really do hope it was just a case of "mistaken identity", and that it all comes out right in the end.

Sayhello

I guess that would depend, they could have a a REALLY nice bag. IMO, there are people who are thieves those who are not, what they steal and why are really just semantics. But I am sure hoping that it's just a misunderstanding.

Heaven forbid a taken/missing bag had someones much needed medication in it.

Just in case you don't have it.

DCL's Lost and Found phone # in Port Canaveral is 407-566-3734.

I accidently left a bag in the terminal (I know its not the same thing) and it took me forever to get the right number, but once I did, they already had my bag and were trying to get ahold of me and sent it back to me. I had it within a week.

I hope it is the case of accidently moved and not stolen.

Called lost and found. They haven't found it yet. We had left it on the ship. I don't know how you could have picked it up and realized it wasn't yours. It had 3 bottles of liquor, a bullet, a large beach towel and 2 lanyards with pins. If they are flying they won"t be able to carry it on or check it because the liquor wasn't packed that good. We drove so we wouldn't have had any problem. They said it may be still on the ship. Will check on Thursday. No it didnt have a tag on it. Also we had a large miller lite bottle we had gotten from New Orleans and someone stole that from where we were sitting. We had went and rode the Aqua Duck. Oh well. I have cruised 41 times and never had a problem. Hopefully it is still on the ship. They told me they couldn't ship the liquor. I said I am coming back in June and they said they could hold it for me if they find it.

I'm sure if it is still on the ship it will be found. :thumbsup2

You said it didn't have a tag on it, hopefully you had your address on it or in it some where. If they got as far as the airport your bag could be at the airport lost and found. They may not have realised it wasn't their bag until they tried to go thru security with it.
