Missing Queues using FP+

I've heard that some people don't like the single rider line for Test Track because you miss getting to design a car. Are there other attractions with single rider or FP+ where you wish you didn't have to miss the queue? Do you take this into consideration when choosing what to do as FP+ and what to do RD?

You miss the interactive stuff in the queues for some attractions such as Haunted Mansion or Space Mountain, but that doesn't bother me.

Unless a member of your party is really into cars, I wouldn't worry about missing the design part. Doesn't have much to do with the ride anyway and just isnt that big of a deal IMO.

Like the others said, any queue that has an interactive line are the ones that FPers will miss. The only one that we really enjoy walking through is the interactive line for HM, all others we could take it or leave it.

If you are doing single rider on Test Track and want to design a car, you can actually first go through the exit of the attraction, through the gift shop, and through the large room with cars to look at. On the left wall at the end of that large room are 3 design stations where you can create your own car. Once you have it created, you can then go back out of the exit and over to the single rider entrance.

The fp line bypasses some of the stuff at Enchanted Tales with Belle. I'm not exactly sure what it bypasses, though, since I didn't see it. ;)

Thanks for the heads up on that, we have a FP+ on one of our MK days for ETWB. The first and only time we saw it, we were able to see it through a testing faze when that whole area was still behind walls, so we got to see everything.

The only ride we would turn down a FP for because of the queue is Dumbo, and that's because DS liked the playground more than the ride.

IMO too big of a deal is made of the well themed and/or interactive queues. None of them (IMO, again) are worth waiting a significant time for if you can use a FP instead. If I'm trying to choose between 2 attractions and one has a fun queue while the other doesn't, wait times being equal, I would FP the boring one, but I still wouldn't choose to wait simply because of the queue.

Can someone expand on what you miss? We are already a party of 2 adults who have decided to endure the humiliation of storytime with Belle, just to see the animatronic wardrobe, mirror effect, cottage, etc. What exactly do you miss using FP + ? I certainly don't want to miss anything cool.

I am also curious about the Little Mermaid ride. I have been on it aprx. 3000 times at DCA, but want to see the queue, theming, interactive game, etc. Will I miss all of this if I use FP+ ?

The last time I went on TT single rider, there were 2 design stations in that line but they only gave you a couple of pre-designed options to choose for your car. Very quick but not very personalized but they did work just fine.

You miss the play area for Dumbo and Pooh too.

If you have very little ones, this can be a bigger deal than you might anticipate (says the mom who thought she was a HERO to have FastPass- for these rides only to see broken hearts as "all the other kids" got to touch the honey wall and play under the big top!). At least I was able to "save" my FP+ for something else this trip, having learned my lesson. Off to the 90 minute queues we go ;)
