Missing mom & daughter-near Philly

She may have gotten away with it for a longer period of time if she had just left and not made up the kidnapping story.

She sounds certifiably nuts. She couldn't have rationally thought that she was going to get away with that. It really sounds like she broke off from reality.

Sick *****.

All the missing kids we have in this country and she's going to take the police and FBIs time and resources to look for her sorry *** because she made up a fake story to cover for her having stolen money.

Wow this has changed so much since I got home from work. I had heard when I went to pick up DD at Cheerleading that she went to Orlando instead of Tampa.

I'm glad they found the little girl. And here I was all worried for both of them all last night ever since I saw it on the news last night.

I just don't get what she was thinking. I don't get what was running through her mind or how she justified taking one kid and leaving the others. I wonder what the 15 year old thinks- and gee how do you leave an infant.

I live very close to where this alleged abduction/carjacking took place and pass the intersection mentioned on a regular basis. I have to tell you it really made me nervous to think that something like this could happen so close to home.

I'm glad they were found safe but this woman caused quite a stir in the community not to mention the man hours and money spent by the police departments and FBI. If she's found to be mentally stable, I hope they prosecute her.

I work in that area as well. I kinda had a weird feeling because, as you know, Street Road isn't exactly a rural road. Lots of cars, and someone would have HAD to see this happen. Very sad.

I don't live in that exact area, but I do live in the Philly Suburbs and I agree- This was unsettling when I first heard abou it.

The woman and her daughter were caught on a surveillance camera boarding a plane for Tampa, Florida. Authorities are saying no abduction took place.

The mom and daughter are fine and in police custody. They were picked up in Orlando just off WDW property.

They actually changed the airport they went to was Orlando.

There is a news conference going on right now in Philadelphia and they just said that she was found inside the Grand Floridian Hotel.

She stole a driver's licence from someone at her job and she used that license to board the plane. She had told the women at work that she needed it for something to do with benefits.

Wow - This woman should be ashamed for what she put and is putting her family, especially her children though. Just imagine how the 15 year is going to feel.

They said that there may be some domestic problems. She withdrew around $12,000 from various banks in various amount's over the course of about a week.

She made a phone call to her current husband crying (left on voice mail) restating the same thing she told 911 - but saying to tell her kids she loves them if she never see's them again.

Fox News is reporting that she was found at GF:sad2:

Oops, missed PP report of this, sorry!

What a sicko, huh?

The news conference said it was only $12,000 - a news person asked about the $300K and she said that wasn't true.

Okie dokie. I was going by what I read on 2 different news reports. One of them being the fox news link I posted. I'm sure we will be hearing much more on this story in the next few days.

 $12,000 doesn't go very far if that is all you have with no job. What in the world was she thinking?

On the news, they showed a video of her husband and a daughter. The baby appeared to be about six to eight months old. Maybe the mom has some sort of postpartum depression. She certainly wasn't thinking clearly.

I don't know too much about postpartum depression, but her actions were not spur-of-the-moment. They were planned out, and she manipulated several people along the way. I feel so bad for all three of her children, but mostly the 9 year old that was drug into this. God only knows what her mom told her before heading to Disney. I can't imagine how this poor thing felt; one minute on top of the world on a trip to Disney with her mom, the next minute knowing mom was taken away for bad things. Poor baby. Hopefully they'll start her in counseling asap.
