Missing mom & daughter-near Philly

Anyone following this? I haven't read much about the fender bender, such as, did anyone else witness it? It was on Street Road, a pretty busy street at 2:00 pm. Her car was found at 15th & Chestnut at 1:30 am and had parking tickets, which means it was there awhile. I guess they could have driven her somewhere secluded, taken her out & abandoned the car in center city. Now they are saying that the daughter was withdrawn from school on May 1.

I hope they are both found safe.

I have heard this story on the news. The police says there alot of holes in the lady story. Of course they never said what the holes are

As a Mom of 2 in the Philly Suburbs, I'm a nervous wreck!!! I hadn't heard about the girl being withdrawn from school on May 1...If that is true it makes it sound a little less "random" Still a sad, scary situation, but makes me feel a little safer.

Last night driving home from the Phillies game we saw all the Amber Alert signs on 95 with the tag # and description. It is scary. I pray they are both safe.

The Amber Alert on the TV this morning had my kids freaking out. Had to calm them down and explain what happened. I had not heard about the child being withdrawn from school, interesting twist to this. I hope both are found safe.

I have been watching and reading all about it. I didn't hear about the child being pulled out of school. But it is scary that nobody saw anything. I pray it all turns out good.

I don't know why but I have a wierd feeling about this story- like it's going to turn out to be something totally else. Maybe because the mom pulled her daughter out of school? But the timing just seems off or something.
I hope I am right and she really wasn't abducted and is just hiding out someplace.

And how far away is the car from where her cellphone pinged?

If the mother set this up why would she pick that daughter to do it with?

Where can I see the info about the dd being removed from school--any reason given as to why she did remove her? Were the other dds removed as well?

I Just read the MSNBC article linked above. If she called from the accident scene on Street Road at 2pm, but her "stolen" car had a parking ticket in Center City at 2:20, something's up. You MIGHT be able to drive there in tat time period, but also be parked long enough to get a ticket...something's up. I just hope they are both ok...something seems VERY fishy...

I just read that the girls biological father said the girl was pulled out and enrolled in another school and that the media focusing on that was not helping.

This is what I don't get either. IF she was trying to disappear why would she only take one child when she as 3.

Ok - I read all the local tv news websites this morning and just re-read them all a little bit ago, including a few news links.

1. The family is saying she was pulled out of school and enrolled in one closer to home. This was on 5/1/09, I don't think they are related.

2. She has 2 other kids. I don't think she ran off with her - that would be bizzare to leave a baby and a 15 year old behind.

3. The first cell phone call was traced to walnut street where the car was found. The parking ticket was issued 20 minutes after the
1st phone call. She said the accident happend 25 miles away. No one reported the accident from where it was supposed to happen. Wouldn't someone see this happen?

4. Two articles say the mother said the girl was in the SUV? But I can't seem to colaborate that in all articles because some say the girl was put in the cadilac too.

5. Does the SUV look like it was hit by a black car? Not seeing anyone commenting on this yet.

6. When did she leave for the Dr.'s office? Did anyone see the two of them leave? Who was the last to see them and when?

7. The police say they were able to talk to her in length and she called them 7 times.

There are just things not adding up - I really hope the mom didn't do something or an accident didn't happen and the mother isn't just covering it up.

This is really intriguing because it's bizzare.

They were seen on a survielance camera getting on a plane at PHL late yesterday.

ETA: They just updated...Flight was going to Tampa

The just broke in on the news saying is was all a lie and they weren't kidnapped.. is this the same case? I only caught the end of it.
