Missing Magic Band...how to replace?

We stayed onsite last year and each got a Magic Band. One of them is now missing.

We will be staying OFFsite this trip......will they still replace the band that is showing in our MDE or will I now have to buy one? I know we can also use the physical card, but I'd rather not have this particular kid carrying it....she lost the MB, don't want the ticket to go missing too. (That's not a dis on her, it's just who she is...she'd lose her ears if they weren't attached).

$12.95 plus tax, maybe have your DD buy it? Not saying that's necessary, I also have a DD like that! You can do it through the Disney store ahead of time, or wait until you get there if you want to spend a little more and get a special edition one.

Does she have a lanyard with a strong pouch that she could carry the ticket in? Does she have to be the one to carry it at all?

The ticket is associated with the MDE account. Doesn't matter if the band is lost, or if the physical ticket is lost, once it is tagged to an MDE account, it should belong to that person forever. So if she were to lose the ticket, they should be able to issue a new card that is tagged to the MDE account, and deactivate the lost card.

The previous band you received was part of your hotel stay. They most likely will not replace it as it is really viewed no different than a KTTW was. You can purchase a new one at many places in the parks, either in the same basic colors, or the fancier character designs.

If you are using new tickets for the upcoming trip and your DD uses an adult ticket, link up the tickets to everyone and give her your MagicBand to use. A new ticket will have a new biometric scan directly linked to it so your old MagicBand will link to a new ticket with her biometric.

You'll need to use the ticket that has the corresponding lost MagicBand. Go to your Family and Friends area and "edit" to switch around names.
