Oh no, that's a long time for a young adult to be out of their social loop, really hope it ends ok and she is found safe & sound.

I hope that she is found and/or makes contact soon. Her family must be beside themselves with worry.

I do wonder about one thing: the dates. The search notice says that she had been in the CP program since Jan 2022; wouldn't that mean she was due to leave the program right about now? As I understand the way the CP program works, 12 months is the maximum time-in-program without leaving to go back to school for at least a semester.

ETA: I'm sorry if I confused folks with the reference to last January; I just realized that it isn't in the notice posted above. That information comes from a post on her Instagram page allegedly posted by a family member and relayed by the press in Houston, which reads: "Marisia originally a Houston, Texas resident has been living in Orlando, Florida (Winter Garden) as part of THE DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM since January of 2022. She was last seen at Flamingo Crossings East, an apartment community affiliated with the Disney program on Thursday, December 22nd, 2022."

It is being reported by both her sister and a friend of the family, in separate posts, that she has been located and reunited with her family. No other details were provided. I’m hoping it was all just a big misunderstanding, but I understand if the family wants to keep the details private. I am just relieved that, for once, the story can have a happy ending.

Sounds like this is another like that college guy who went off to Spain without telling anyone. I'm glad they're both safe, but it seems really odd to me.

I’m glad she’s ok.
Could have been any number of things.
Miscommunications happen.
Family dramas happen.
Pandemics mess with mental health… The list goes on.
I’m just glad she’s no longer a missing person or worse.
