Missing a fast pass window

I have only seen brief mention of this so I was wondering
What is the policy for missing a fast pass?
Did I read somewhere if you miss a time you loose all your fast passes for the day?
What if you schedule 4 passes and day of only 3 want to ride?

Went through the tip thread which was amazing, a few people mentioned but did not see much in these regards.

Asking because we are traveling with multi families. Trying to book for that many people is hard enough. Trying to see what everyone wants and book for such a large number of people is a pia.

I'm not sure about that.

But here's how I approached FPs for our group of 11 from 3 different families:
- I made a chart: FPs for everyone, For most and For a Few
("Everyone" included Haunted Mansion, Laugh Floor... "Most included Mine Train and Splash, "Few" included Tower of Terror type stuff)

- Then I paired my list with our park plans for each day. So while the Most were on Space, the rest were on Jungle Cruise type of stuff.

- We have everyone hitting the "must sees"

- I ran it by everyone, tweaked a few, and we're good to go.

Sorry I couldn't answer your primary question, but thought this might help.

If you miss your window nothing happens. You can try to reschedule it for later or another ride if you want. Have you ever used paper FPs? Nothing has changed really, use them or don't. Disney doesn't care either way.

I remember the old ones it did not matter. Somewhere I thought I read if you missed your window you lost the rest for the day. Seemed odd compared to the old way but with changes you never know. I know just because someone posts it does not make it true as well. I loved the pp idea of having everyones must do and her system. We also have 3 families. We have some with medical issues and dare devils. It seems like a great system.

Not sure why anyone would have posted such silliness but yeah definitely not true at all. I hope you are able to get everyone setup and organized with the must haves.

My chart doesn't format well here. If you want to PM me an email address, I'll be happy to share it.

Not true. You can either reschedule the one you miss or move on to your 4th after using your 3rd. For the tiered parks, some people have been scheduling their 1st right at park open and letting it expire so that they can move on to their 4th sooner.

To me this is one of the great things about FP+. If you miss your window you can reschedule for another time or attraction. Depending on the day/time your choices will be more limited. Other thing I will also mention is you will get the green mickey 5 minutes before your time slot and 15 minutes past. We never went past but did arrive 5 minutes early a couple of times with no problem. Helped us be able to walk right from one fast pass to another.
