My 3 year old daughter is 39 inches in shoes. Missed the 40 inch mark needed for most rides by an inch.

We are going down in only 21 days.

I wont feel as guilty telling Disney she is only 2 now, (to not buy her a hopper) since she still cant really ride everything.

Did you really have to post this.... I suggest you put on your flameproof suit.

(Oh and then there is my airline story.... passenger swore child was under two, gate agent leaned down and said to the little boy "How old are you?" Little boy says proudly FOUR! BUSTED)

yes...very

flame away

but if a child can't do the attractions they are being charged for, I have no problem changing her age by 2 months.

Also, Consider, I have bought probably a grand toatal of 30 - 4, 5, or 7 day hoppers in the last 10 years. I think Disney will not be hurt with letting one slide.

Oh, and dont act like it doesnt get done all the time.

It's your conscience....not anyone's else. Let me just tell you....I went when I was 8 months pregnant....my dd who will only be 13 months when we go this December can do everything I did then....and I had to pay then. So if it makes you feel better to say it's because she's only 39 inches so be it - but cheating is cheating just like stealing is stealing - there is no gray area. And if you are okay teaching your daughter that it's okay to lie if you benefit from it....well that's your business. Just my $0.02.

I agree with WDWorBUST!

What willyou teach your child when she gets older?

Got Quattro? - What are you going to tell your child to say if she is asked her age by one of the CMs?

A lie, is a lie, is a lie.....my 13 month dd was able to do 90% of the things at disney....get ready to be blasted, that's all I have to say!!!!!

blast away.

Ask her what her age is...she will say 2.

Give me a break people....she turned 3 3 weeks ago, and we are going in 3 weeks......so she will be 3 and 6 weeks, and can't do any big ticket rides.

I have no conflict with this.

Like I said it's your conscience - not mine. If you can live with yourself so be it.

"Oh, and dont act like it doesnt get done all the time."

And just because it is done all the time does not make it right. I realize people do it. But it's not something I could do and sleep well at night.

She'll actually say she's 2? Are you lying to her about her age or are you just teaching her to lie? My dd is 3 and will never say she's 2. She's proud to be 3 and makes sure everyone knows it, lol.

The rules at Disney are anyone 3 and over, not 3 and 6 weeks over have to buy a ticket.......teaching your child to lie is awful...but hey, that is just my $.02.

Unlike many other theme parks, the vast majority of attractions at Disney World don't have height requirements. My son and niece, at ages 4 and 6, didn't even want to do most of the thrill rides. I paid for a ticket for my oldest son 16 days after his 3rd birthday. He was only 36 inches at the time.

ok...you all have officially made me question my actions.

While not 100% decided on which action. We will (wife and I) talk it over and consider how to proceed.

:)

My DD is turning three 24 days before our next trip. We are buying her a ticket. I could not imagine teaching my kids to lie. It would set a very bad precedent.

If you didn't expect negative comments - why did you post it - to gloat that you got away with something?????

Most folks who visit WDW parks have several rides in each park that they will not/can not ride for various reasons... tickets prices are not based on how many rides/attractions you will use.... the prices cover the overall experience and there are plenty of things to fill your day with.

Just my 2 cents! ;)

I agree that it is inappropriate to lie. Also, I swear that WDW asked for my daughters' birthdays at some point in the past. I had no issue giving them that information. Make sure they do not have that information in their computer!!

With everybody's "2 cents" here, you are well on your way to paying for your DDs ticket!
