Missed closing date

When we started started the buying process we deliberately picked a middle-of-the-road contract for our first time so we would get waived. Since then the CPP has gone up and because we banked the points it now looks like a "loaded" contract. I asked our agent if Disney has ever taken a contract that they waived previously and he said "almost never". Does this mean they can take our contract?

I'm in Orlando for a sports tournament in Nov and wanted to have my family join me after. I guess I'll find out in the next couple of days if that's going to happen.

Thank goddness we never told the spawn...I mean children!

So... Still waiting and from the phone call I got today it wil be at least another couple of days. The seller has to get their addendum in stating they are still interested in selling past the "final" date. They have a couple of reasons for delaying that I am not unsympathetic (husband travelling, sick kid, live out of town, no printer) but this is killing me already! I just hope this is all real and the sellers aren't jerking us along until we cancel to sell the contract at a higher price. It would be in their best interest to sell as per the current agreement as the fees incurred so far would eat up any gains. My understanding is seller would be responsible as they are at "fault".

Has anyone had to deal with a contract this late to close?

We are finally closed! Now comes the hardest part... Waiting for the points so I can make my first reservation

I checked the Orange County website on Friday, and my Deed and ROFR was posted on Wednesday (1/14). But I have not heard anything from Broker or Title Agent (not surprised) . Does this mean I closed, and they just haven't notified me yet?

So, at the 10 day mark I should I start calling MS for my membership information?

11/3/2014 Made offer and was accepted
11/7/2014 Went to ROFR
11/20/2014 Passed ROFR
12/10/2014 Received Closing Docs
12/16/2014 Returned closing Docs (seller & buyer)
01/02/2015 Emailed Title company for update. Was told may be delay in closing because of Disney system issues.
01/15/2015 Deed appears. Apparently I closed two days before, but no word from broker or Title company.
01/22/2015 Received computer generated email stating that I closed.
01/27/2015 Called MS and received Membership number. Tried on 1/26 but no go.
02/02/2015 Received letter from Disney with my membership number (dated 1/27).

I was a little disappointed in the Broker and Title company (Timeshare Title and more). Since the date I sent my deposit and the email stating I passed ROFR. I have not heard from my broker since. No update on closing, no congratulation email or letter, or Thank you letter. The thing that really disappointed me, was when I reached out for an update on closing (my 1st and only time), I was told "contact the title company" and gave me the email address, no offer of help.

But all and all, I am super excited to join the DVC family. As long, and sometime painful as it was, I’m glad I went Resale. I just booked a split stay at BWV & GFV in Aug. before our cruise.
