Good Morning Kathy, just wanted to share what I woke up to

Wow... we are up in the foothills and didn't get that much!

we are in the middle of the convergence zone...its pretty much gone now except for areas in the shade, sun has been out...was pretty while it lasted!

Mary got her intros up so please be sure to go back and read (Page 1, Post 6). I'll finish responses tomorrow and do an update on my arrival day plans. I got home late as I had to get my nails done and then go pick up our tax returns which were finally finished.

Trying to talk Mark into another trip to Disney since we got a refund.

And we have to have a talk tonight about Cookie; we have an appointment with her vet a week from Saturday (March 30). We may have to make a decision which will break our hearts.

Great idea about another Disney trip Kathy! You should just tell the IRS to send your refund check directly to Disney, that way Mark can't complain since it will already be paid for. Ok, that's faulty logic but whatever!

Oh no! Sweet Cookie. I know she's been doing poorly for awhile now but still. Do you think you'll have to put her down? That will be so sad but not if she's suffering, you know? Poor baby. We have our first ever puppy, well she's over a year old now, and man is she like a member of the family. We love her so much, I can imagine how much more you all love yours. Good luck tomorrow Kathy.

Sorry I did not get to do replies today, but work was super busy. I just finished packing overnight bag as we are off to Dubuque tomorrow for Mark's fitting of his tux and Alisha and I are going to look for her headpiece. Then it's Alisha's birthday party and we will also be watching the NCAA Division Championships. Nope.....not basketball, but wrestling. One of Markie's former high school teammates is wrestling for the University of Iowa and is wrestling for the National Championship at 133 pounds (GO TWERP). Hope everyone has a great weekend...and I'll try to responses Subday night.

My heart sunk when I read your comment about Cookie. I pray she surprises you as our Jackie did and stayed with us almost two years longer than expected. I am here if I can be of support any time, 24/7, Kathy.

The plan is to arrive on Monday the 3rd, and leave on the following Monday, June 10.

Oh my gosh!! This is exciting!! I will be there at the same time as you as well! I hope to be able to meet you!!

Our dates are Thurs June 6th through Friday June 14th

Day 1 plans

I have not bought our plane tickets yet because they are currently over $500 EACH. It is painful. We usually take a flight out around 9a and arrive around 430p. We will then head to ME and off to OKW. After dumping our things the plan is to head to DTD for dinner and treats. Alos check out the new merch. We will probably have dinner at WPE and treats at that yummy ice cream store that starts with a G We will then head back to OKW and relax before bed. Ms Kathy will then sneak in like a ninja. Actually she may be arriving earlier since they changed her flight and she now arrives after midnight On Friday we move to BC and we have never stayed there before. We have visited and swam thanks to Ms Anita.

Nope, no parks; and they've now changed my flight and I get in later.

I am so sorry to hear about Cookie. I know how hard that decision is. I had a poodle for 18 years growing up. Had my kindergarten pictures taken with her and then had my senior pictures taken with her. She was the last dog we ever had... no other could have compared.

Thank you; this week is going to be hard not knowing what will happen on Saturday. They truly become a member of our family and celebrate oru special days with us.

Late arrivals are so hard... but anything is worth it to get back to WDW! And you are switching right away? Can't wait to hear where to.

We switch the next morning...we are moving to the Beach Club Villas.

Kathy, I'm so sorry about Cookie, and having to make that horrible decision about her. I don't know if you remember what I went through with my cat, Nina, a few weeks before my anniversary trip last year, but it was awful, we found out she was sick one day, and the next day we had to decide to put her down, it was one of the worst days of my life. It's almost been a year that she's been gone, and not a day goes by that I don't miss her. Sometimes I still think I see her sleeping on my bed. It's awful. But it's even more awful seeing them suffer.

Thanks, Jen; yes, I do remember about Nina. We've done this once before and it was very hard.

Anyway, travel day sounds great! I actually visited OKW with my sister on our trip, it looks SO pretty, but it's HUGE! I was so overwhelmed!

In truth, it's really not that bad because you can take a bus around the resort. I found the AKL/Kidani to be worse because we were way down the hall and there was no bus to take us.

It's a great resort, Jill; it has really become our "new home."

It will be a very difficult decision. Believe it or not, Andy said she was pretty good while we were gone this weekend.

Kathy, so sorry to hear you are needing to make a tough decision about your dear Cookie. I just don't think there can be anything harder to do. They put their trust in us to care for them and they love us unconditionally. All we can do is our best to give them a great life. We know that's what you've done for her. You will know when it's time to let her go....

That is a big part of it...they do trust us and they do love us unconditionally. I keep telling myself we have loved her so much and she is a huge part of our lives and our hearts and always will be.

I'm so excited to meet you and see Mary and the girls again. They are so much fun to be with and never fail to make Marc and I smile! We should have a great group of DIS kids around the pool. Good times await us!!!

I can't wait to meet you too. This is truly going to be epic.

Oh Kathy, I am so sorry about Cookie... We had to make the same decision for our Rufus last year (hard to believe it's been a year already), and it's so hard - absolutely one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life - they are like our children in every way.

I'm sorry about Rufus; she has been our baby so long...15 years.

My friends here on the Dis gave me some great comfort during that time, and they shared with me some very wise words, all of which really helped me see through our loss.

Everyone here as been wonderful.

I offer you many hugs, and the insight in your heart to know when the time is right. I wish I could say more to make you feel better. (((Hugs)))

Love seeing OKW pix... we stayed there in 2007 (before the refurb) and have been wanting to go back...we really liked the resort, the feature pool and the easy boat ride to DTD.

It's a beautiful resort...Mark and I really love it.

And for getting a green light for 3 trips next year!!

Actually, no snow. There was a dusting when we got up this morning and it is now snowing here.

When you read Mary's update on her travel plans, you will notice that Mary mentions my "new arrival time." While we were driving to Dubuque yesterday, I got an email that they changed my flight to Orlando. Now I don't land until 12:05 a.m. I am NOT happy about this at all. I am calling Air Tran tomorrow to see if I can get on an earlier flight...there is several earlier planes. So keep your fingers crossed for me.

We had a great weekend in Dubuque with the kids. Alisha got her headpiece and her veil (of which I paid for) and we went to lunch. They then had people over last night for her birthday. We watched the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Unfortunately, Markie's former teammate feel a little short, but was runner up and an All American for the second year in a row. He has one more year to go and hopefully he gets that Championship next year.

That gift is just so sweet! Your plans are shaping up! Mary AZ, those flights are killers! Same price as going from a small town in Oregon. I don't know why PHX is so much more $$. I thought it would be great being at a hub, but it seems like you pay for convenience. We left AZ and are in Texas now and got some great prices on SW. Hope you find a deal!
