Have never been to Disney and have been obsessing over planning our December trip. Based on reviews and popularity, I am dying to go to 'Ohana and have a dinner reservation there. Just noticed yesterday that it is on the same night as our only opportunity to see Fantasmic. Is that show worth the 1 hour wait in line AND giving up 'Ohana dinner??? To anyone who has done both: Please help me decide!

When are you going and how many are with you...and ages.

I personally would keep O'hana, as I have no desire to see Fantasmic. I watched it on youtube and it looks to have some scary parts, and I know my DD would freak, so until she's older, we won't be seeing it. If you are going in Dec, I have heard they have added a second show to most of the Fantasmic nights. So maybe you could still do both.

We are going Dec 13-17. I have looked on the Disney website and only see one show each on the 13th and 15th. We get there too late to make it on the 13th.

My DS is 17 and my DD is 6. I too wondered if it were scary for her or if she would enjoy it.

My guess is that in the next month they will add more. They did it to some of the Nov and early Dec ones form what I'm told already.

Watch it on youtube and you can get an idea if you think your DD will like it. My DD will be 6 in DEc and she is in the fraidy cat mode lately. There is a long segment with villains, and I just know she'll be crawling all over me to hide her, or take her out. Plus you need to get in line 1-2 hours ahead of show time. Not for us at this point in time.

Thanks for the suggestion about youtube. I will watch it there first.

My daughter might be afraid too. We've waited this long to take her because she's always been frightened by "costumed" characters.

I hate to plan our vacation around the food, if you will, but I'm trying to make the most of the 4.5 days we have!
