Before someone jumps in and makes a joke, I would like to tell you nicely that it is mosquito. It is the state bird down here in FL.
They will still be in season then, but I have never had a problem at WDW. They do tons of spraying to keep the population down on property. That does not mean that there are none though. If they like you in particular, I would bring some spray.
In early Oct of last year we were all attacked by mosquitos standing in front of Pecos Bills, waiting for the MNSSHP parade- so it doesn't happen often in WDW, but it certainly does happen! Since we lost my Br-in-law 2 summers ago to West Nile Virus, we take protecting ourselves and our families from mosquito bites very seriously (and we, too, live in 'mosquito territory' here in NJ) - even when not fatal, WNV can cause life-long disabilities. There have been several deaths and disabilities from WNV in FL over the last few years (actually, in almost every state, so protect yourself and your family at home, too! )
Off! Deep Woods puts out individually wrapped towelettes (like the little Wipies for cleaning your hands) which are super easy to carry in your bag or pocket - better safe than sorry!
