I heard many misconceptions during my last trip to WDW. I feel WDW does a fairly good job of explaining their policies, programs, etc (i.e., PS, FP, Dining Plan) -- with exceptions here and there. But among the misconceptions I heard were:
FastPass is for Resort Guests Only.
Why would they open FP for EMH? It doesn't make sense. Wouldn't everyone just use FP and go into that line which would end up making Stand-by line shorter? (I don't know... why don't you go with that philosophy and see what happens!)
I witnessed several people without PS's being turned away and upset about not being able to eat and wanting to know why they couldn't put their name it. Poor CM's had to shell out the same litany over and over. (Ok, so either you don't know about PS's or you didn't make them before your trip. You discover it's busy. How hard is it to push the "Dine" button on your hotel phone? Better yet, have the Dine # programmed into your cell phone. Just a thought).
People totally confused by the monorail. Thought it always went straight to MK no matter where you boarded.
DVC Member saying you could rent out Value Resorts for 10 pts a night (now with this one, I'm NOT 100% sure it was untrue. I just had never seen or hear that before. I know you can rent moderates but know nothing about renting values).
By the way, I also saw people who seemed to know and navigate the parks with experience and knowledge, which made me wonder if some of the "little things" like waking Tink, riding in the front of the monorail, etc. aren't really "little things" after all. Lots more people know about them then I'd like to pretend! lol...
