Mischief night?

[always quiet]

Is this still practiced in some neighborhoods?? I remember when I was a kid, you would get the occasional toilet paper in your trees, or have a message written in bar soap across your windshield. Does anyone's town have a problem with this or has it pretty much disappeared over the years? I can't remember the last time I have seen anything happen around here on mischief night in years!

Yep, we had it, still have it....cept we call it "gate night"

Don't know about other places, but we live in a gated community and there is a curfew for halloween eve and halloween night.
Anyone 17 and under must be in by dusk, if they are caught out after dusk, there will fines.

We never had this in our town. My mom talks about it, though she grew up in New Jersey.
