Miscellaneous from a new annual pass holder

I wonder what's to notice about the two women at the Tower of Terror queue. Ghosts?

I didn't want to say too much, but we got on when it was raining out and the line was not long. As you approach a turn in the line, there are two women dressed very elegantly with big sunglasses sitting on a bench in an area inaccessible to the people in line. I noticed them and my wife did not. I called her back and asked if she though they were real people. She said "I don't know" and walked away. I stood there for a few more seconds, and boom! They both lean to the left to the left simultaneously to look around me. I laughed and called my wife back and before she could get there, they returned to their original position.

You're 18, been to Disney 50 times between the two of you and never rode Mine Train before? How often were you going there?

So many questions, but I don't think you'll be around to answer.

Insinuating that I am a troll, which I am not. You should really hold judgment. And yes the last time we went to Disney, the Mine Train was not open. Too hard to believe??

Closed rides, drained echo lake, construction everywhere, barely any street performers anymore, overkill on Star Wars... need I say more?
And you didn't knew beforehand that right now HS is not the best park to visit? not trying to sound mean just curious, were all this changes a surprise for you? I was there a month ago and just went for a couple of hours to ride ToT and watch Fantasmic the park is a mess tight now to invest more time on it, even for annual pass holders

If you start to feel that you dont appreciate it as much then skip a month or two. Thats the beauty of the AP, you can go when you want

I did

I didn't know. my wife and I have not been to Disney since 2014.

I got away from discussion forums a few years ago because of the inherent jerks that come along with them. If you're not a long time member, you're consistently questioned and made to feel less-than. I guess not much has changed. I guess I'll view the threads but I won't post. For a Disney forum, some of your are very unwelcoming and condescending.

The Echo Lake refurbishment is supposed to be complete the end of this month. I guess that must contribute to HS looking like a construction zone. But honestly, most of the other construction is behind walls and barely noticeable. The good news is, Toy Story land is supposed to be open sometime next summer. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy that before your passes expire.

It's the attitude in your opening statements in this thread that got you the answers you're getting.

I would also say it's probably time to re-adjust your expectations as you venture into AP-hood. Things will be different, and that's OK if you make it worthwhile and change your park-visiting style to match.

I'm actually 39 and my wife is 31. DOn't believe everything you read on a profile :)
I was giving you the benefit of the doubt as it was a good explanation for your interesting 2nd post. ;)

:welcome:to DIS where some of us really aren’t from San Fransokyo! :D

Funny thing about HS, if they hadn't done anything you'd have equally as many posts/complaints about how the park was old, stale, unchanged as you do today about how it's got too much construction. Can't win. It's a mess right now but the end product will be a wonderfully unique park and it's not all Star Wars by any means.

Funny too that you are remarking about the 2 women at ToT and then on another note complaining about a loss of performers at HS. Maybe your remarks about the 2 women aren't complaints but they were odd remarks for certain and came off as complaints or at the very least remarks that you found them off in some way. They are performers

As for the attitude you find you've received on the thread, you got some of it by starting off with the tone in your post. Vague posting is never well received, especially from new posters.

I didn't know there was a hierarchy in cyberspace. Some of you take yourselves too seriously. If your status on Disboards (not being a "new" poster is how you evaluate your life, I'm very sorry for you.

Would one of the moderators please delete this thread? There is no need for back-and-forth. If it's gone, I will not feel a need to respond to ignorant posts and people.
