Mirror is gone from the Castle pics

Thank you, Safetymom. I'm sooooo glad to see that atrocious mirror gone. The other bling, I could handle. But the mirror was a blight.

I'm thinking the darker blue is actually the original blue before it gets bleached by the sun & rain. I bet if you see pix of the Castle a few years from now & compare them to these, you'll see the same change in color depth.

I can't be lieve they're all down now. I love the Castle both ways. It just looks so bare, our last 3 trips it's been decorated. We have to get used to it back to normal!

I guess I'm in the minority. I loved the castle decorations, including the mirror. The castle looks so PLAIN now. I wish they would have at least kept the gold characters.

*sigh* I loved the mirror. I could stand on the ramp to the castle and watch it change for hours, dreaming of the day when I got to see all those parks in person.

This blue seems shinier than the old blue also but it could have faded.

I was so bummed to see the mirror up on our trip last week...everything else was down but the mirror. Figures it would happen that way.
It's so nice to see the castle back to normal even though I did like the 50th decorations.
I think that dark blue it going to look awesome!

Here's a fuzzy photo of the castle from 1981 -- the dark blue looks the same as the newly painted color to me -- beautiful!

Thanks Safetymom for keeping us all updated with your photos. I love to look at the castle pictures...can't wait until I get to see it in person in April. I too am glad to see the mirror gone. I did like a few of the gold characters hovering about the towers though.

One thing I do miss is how the hub/partner's statue area had all those trees and benches. It was a nice little spot before they took it all down.
