minor insignificant complaint

honestly, i'm sure no one will be bothered with this thread, but i just HAVE to express my slight anger over this.

so....the degrassi movie already premiered in the US, and it doesn't come to Canada until Aug 30.

Degrassi is a CANADIAN show! It's a staple of Canadian television, it has been since the 80's!

I know it seem like really stupid that I'm complaining about this but it totally irks me that it premiered in the US first when it's a Canadian programme.

that's weird.

i used to watch degrassi, but the new ones kinda sorta suck if you ask me.
so i didn't even watch the movie.
but i don't know why it was played here first.

I personally hate Degrassi, but the movie was pretty good.
I am assuming it is either because the US has a larger fan population or that they are just showing it to the US first because that's just what some idiotic people do, show it to us first. I have no idea.

I've been peeved about this for a VERY LONG TIME. For some reason, even Canadian programming, goes to the Americans first like they're the most important people ever.
No offense, I can't STAND IT.
I could rant about this for HOURS.
The only thing we get before the Americans is Gossip Girl.

There was a period of time when Degrassi was airing before the US last season. We had the finale and I think you guys were still back on a reallllllly old episode.

It flips and flops back and forth and it's irritating as heck.

Maybe it has to do with licensing. I know some movies that are American made are released in other countries first. Weird and makes no sense so I can understand your frustration.
