Minnies only opens at 9.40?

I have made my reservation for Minnies Breakfast in the Park at The Plaza Inn for September, I assume the park will open at 10 based on previous years
(since the hours are not out yet grrr).
I am surprised the restaurant doesn't open earlier. At WDW the 1st bookings are an hour before park opening so you can be done with your meal and ready to ride....

The park gates only open 30 mins prior to park opening. Disneyland, first bookings are 20 mins prior to park opening or 5 mins after Magic Morning begins.

There isn't enough interest to pay for all the extra staffing.

At DL they only take reservations early if it's an EMH/MM day. What day of the week were you planning to go? If you want to do a character breakfast and be at the park before rope drop on a non-MM day, try one of the breakfasts at the hotels.

Sorry to chime in, I am trying work out Aug 28 Plaza Inn is taking res for 8.10 so 8 am opening? Or is that EME/MM entry time?

Thurs the 28th is an EMH/MM entry.

I asked this question in another thread and am looking at the same dates. DL will open at 9am on the 28th, with EMH/MM at 8am. First available ADRs should be 8:10am (although the earliest I can see online is 8:40, but I think that's because of how you need to search and the earliest I can search is 9am, so it shows 8:40, 9am, and 9:20. I will see if 8:10am is available in a couple weeks when I call for my F! Dessert package tickets. I am calling from Canada and want to only make the call once!).

The people who posted on my other thread said you do not need EMH or MM access to have the earliest ADR times. There is a far-side gate (with a sign) where they will have a list of people allowed to enter for Minnie and Friends.
