We just booked this for Halloween night, sort of blindly. The last time we had dinner at Hollywood & Vine left a lot to be desired, although we do love the breakfast buffet.

We figured it would be fun to see Mickey & Minnie in their Halloween garb and get some cute photos.

Has anyone done this? Thinking I shouldn't expect much from the actual food, looking forward mostly to the experience. Hopefully we will be pleasantly surprised!

Let me know your experiences :)

We are doing this on 11/5 so I'm interested to hear reviews as well. I'm not expecting great food. We mainly booked it for the F! package and the characters.

I have an ADR for Sunday. Never been there before so no idea what to expect.

We would like to hear reviews also

The Disney website states they will play games at your tables and the prizes are great souvenirs. Just wondering what that is all about and how the food is.

I'm interested too. Been thinking about doing this but didn't know what was all available to eat.

We did the Christmas one last November and it was one of our must dos this November. Good food, excellent service. Character interaction was wonderful!

I think you miss understood that last part. Its two separate thoughts. You don't play games and win great souvenirs. You play games, period. The party gifts they give you will make great souvenirs, period. The party gift is a card with the character signatures on it. We did the Christmas one last year and it was okay. I actually liked The Disney Jr. one better but I heard they took away the dancing, which was the cutest part. The food is the same day or night and season to season, just the desserts change. Its not gourmet but a heck of a lot better than CM.

since they started doing the seasonal dine the reviews have been much better at h&v. I'm pretty sure at least the Christmas one does have changes to the menu and holiday specific entrees and sides, not just desserts. things like salads that feature pomegranate and pumpkin ravioli and a lot of holiday dinner time fare. i have it booked for December and it is quite the covered ADR.

I was interested in this meal because the Halloween costumes must look adorable, but I just couldn't make an ADR based on the price and the reputation of H&V.

Yes, I know they are charging for the character experience, but at over $50, it's not worth it to me if the food isn't good. I haven't seen any reviews that sound like the food is anything better than edible.

If I had little kids or was on the DDP, I'd give it a whirl.

This was not our experience. We ate Thanksgiving night 2015 and then went back 2 weeks later and did lunch. The food was exactly the same.....maybe 1 or 2 different sides, like instead of mashed potatoes we had roasted potatoes. Like I said, what did change was the desserts.

Thanksgiving and two weeks later are still part of the Christmas holiday dine. The Halloween theme runs through November 6th at which point it's Christmas until January 4th. so thanksgiving and 2 weeks later are ostensibly the same menu. i would not be surprised if they rotate desserts though.

I have seen some really good reviews! but trying to keep expectations in check. it is a good value on ddp too, especially with the F! package and I have an an 8 year old, but cash only and no kids I'd make other picks.

My trip falls with the Halloween and Christmas one. Right now I greedily have both booked, I am on the fence which one to go with. I'll be curious to hear how the Halloween one is!

We went to all 5 meals in the past year - it's a buffet and is of standard buffet quality. Is it the best meal on property, no. But does it have a good variety of options so everyone can find something, yes! By our third visit we figured out what our DD3 liked best, so getting food for her is easy (meatballs, broccoli, mashed potatoes, pretzel roll). You'll notice none of that is from the kids menu, we love that she prefers food here from the adult menu since everywhere else we go she ends up with Mac n Cheese and Chicken Nuggets.

The menu is nearly identical during the different seasons, outside of maybe a new meat or side here or there. The dessert menu is the same basic set up, but the colors and themeing changes.

If you'd like to look at photos, here are the characters from all of the seasons:

We had dinner there tonight and the characters are really cute in their costumes. We thought the food was pretty good for a buffet. We are on the DDP, 2 adults and both enjoyed it.

Those photos are adorable! You are so lucky to have gone to all 4 seasons of H&V. :)

I love your screen name too. Berlioz is one of my favorite characters.

H&V does get 10% with AP or Disney Visa, but I don't see the value for myself. As was said above, I would totally try it on DDP.

OMG I just have to say Mickeys suit in the Silver Screen Dine is great!! Love all your pictures, thanks for sharing :)

I was going to try this, to see the Halloween characters, but I was a bit disappointed that they really do not decorate it or anything, I guess I was hoping for special lighting and decor. (impossible to do I guess ).

We booked the BBQ at the Fort on Halloween night, hoping for a little bit of a Halloween twist. (we are staying at the Fort so it will be easy for us)
