We'll be staying off site and I think we therefore only get one EE. If we used our EE to do Fantasyland, would we be able to book Minnie's at the Plaza on a different day during EE even if we're not EE eligible that day? I'm not trying to sneakily get another EE honestly!! I just wondered if it would be possible to go and eat at 8am and be out ready for regular park opening at 9am?

I hope all that makes sense!

TIA
Debbie

I could be wrong, but I don't think the Plaza Inn opens for EE. I do believe it opens at normal park opening.

I think the first step would be calling Disney Dining, and finding out their hours.

I've never been to any EEs yet, but I believe that I read here that they aren't open for business before the park truly opens (unlike what I've read about WDW restaurants).

So it might be a moot point!

I had the same brilliant idea a month ago. originally we were staying across the street at Park Vue Inn and only had 1 EE day. So I thought we'd kill some time on a morning that the park offered EE but we didn't.

but I bought an AP and got the AP rate for PPH, so now I don't want to waste time in the park at a breakfast.
I called Disney Dining and asked if I could book a 9am ressie on an EE day which we didn't have EE for. The park opens normally at 10AM while we're there in Sept.
I was told no, 10am would be the earliest time to make a ressie even on an EE day.
Another Disboarder said you could have someone from Plaza Inn escort you to the restaurant from the gate but that is not true.

I just didn't want to waste precious morning hours eating in the park..a big no-no especially after reading all the tips on Ridemax.

The CM I spoke to at Disney dining suggested the latest time for a ressie should be 10:20 for Minnie and Friends since the charcter meal ends at 11am.

I think we'll just do Lilo and Stitch at PPH 8am on a 9am EE day.

It is true that PI Cms are out at the gates drumming up business on EE mornings (seen them). There is a sign for the breakfast halfway between the EE gates and the regular entry gates and that's a good place to hang out if you want to go in early for breakfast. If Disney Dining told you that it wasn't true--don't believe them. They don't neccessarily know what's actually going on. And PI is open for EE.

Whoa! I just called Diney Dining for PS for PI Minnie and friends and they specifically told me that PI is not open during EE, that the earliest I could get a seating for on a regular day when the park opens at 8 AM was at 8:20 AM. That is so wierd. Why aren't they all on the same page?

I have done some research on this too and was told that Minnie and Friends is open during EE. However, they do not take reservations for this time, only walk ins. Reservations start 20 minutes after regular park opening to allow guests time get through the gates and to the restaurant. Also to get into the park to get to the breakfast during EE you need to have a valid EE ticket.

I called disney dining twice to see if I got a different answer from different CM's and they both told me no on EE at plaza inn.
ressies could not be made until the park opened and they will not escort you into the park for your breakfast if you do not have EE access.

Maybe they used to do it, but not anymore??

Thanks everyone for your replies. It looks like we're probably better off doing the Lilo & Stitch breakfast at PPH.

Maybe we could do Minnie's at the earliest ressie on a day we're going to start at DCA in the hour before it opens. I'd like to fit it in somehow cos from what I can make out that is our best bet of seeing Eeyore at a character meal and he's a big favourite of ours!

This is true. PI begins reservations 20 minutes after the regular park hour begins. This gives you enough time to get through the gate and walk down main street.

PI is not open during EE hours.

I just made a PS for Minnie and Friends for Friday, October26 for 8:10. I was under the impression that the park would open at 8:00 this day -- (but, who knows, the calandar isn't up yet :-) ) I was surprised that they didn't make the PS for 8:20 -- since I learned on this thread they don't make a PS until 20 minutes after park opening. I hope we make it there on time!!
:wizard:

Actually it's 10 minutes after park opening and the "Breakfast Barkers" (that's what they call the CM's that go out there" go out on ALL EE mornings. I have friends who work there (current CMs) and have seen them out there recently.

You know, for us, the only reason we're doing PI instead of Goofy's is because I want to be able to maiximize my FP usage. I'm just wondering if I should just run in, grab my first FP and then go to eat at Goofy's. Their menu is so much more extensive than what I've heard PI offers... I'm wondering if people go to PI because the food is good or because the character interaction is good? We don't really care about the character interaction as much as we used to...Anyone have any input about PI food quality vs. Goofy's vs. Storyteller's?

BTW, I read on another board that the prices are going up. Supposedly for breakfast, the adult prices are going up $4 and $2 for kids.
They are also supposedly raising prices on the dinners at Goofy's $3 Adults, $2 kids. Also at Ariel's Grotto $7 adults & $2 kids. I don't know if anyone else has already posted this or not...fyi...
