Minnie vans cost estimates

DH and I have our trip booked for mid September. We are staying at the Yacht Club. We are trying to decide whether to drive from NC or fly. How well do they Minnie Vans or other Lyft options work for early morning reservations or rope drops or late nights back to the resorts versus driving one’s own car? I know that cost is dependent on distance but what have you paid recently for using these services. I think for much of our trip regular Disney transportation would since its only the two of us. However we want to explore the other resorts some and book dining at other resorts and are just trying to determine whether having our car at Disney would be worthwhile. Your insight would be greatly appreciated. We were last in Disney in 1988 and that was our only visit.
