In your opinion, will the Minnie Van service be expanded enough by Christmas to handle the demand of those crowds? We are considering staying at a more affordable resort and budgeting extra money toward the Minnie vans (since we will need 2 car seats), but I'm wondering if I am going to have a lot of trouble getting a van that week. What do you think?

Granted I was at AKL, but I had trouble finding them two weeks ago (first week of April, right after Easter). It was pretty darn crowded around the parks (in my opinion). AMs seemed to the time we had the most trouble. I think the service is already stretched a bit thin, but it's really hit/miss as to your luck in getting one.

I'd be leery of planning it as your sole source of transportation without some sort of valid backup in mind.

Off times might be easier than peak. Easter Sunday, I had no problem getting in at 7 am on an 8 am opening for MK, but leaving that night was a no go in getting a Minnie Van. We left 30-45 minutes after fireworks and the park did not close for another 1+, but other parks were closing at that time.
