I too have not been in Minnie's house and now I need to go back to WDW and see that quilt. Just got up from my sewing machine, I am sort of a beginner at the quilting thing.
Started out sewing garments and went onto sewing for the local high school band and music department, whatever it was they needed. I made Xylophone (have no idea of the spelling) covers, tuba covers, podium covers, colorguard flags, colorguard band uniforms, costumes for the theatre departments musicals and plays and my very proudest items are banners for the band of both the high school and middle school in my community (the one that they carry in the front of the band). It is so thrilling to see those come down the street or marching field and knowing they are my handiwork.
Since my kids are off to college I started to quilt. I am terrible at the color fabric thing so I am hooked on BOM's (Block of the month clubs) cause I don't have to pick material. I think the fabric shop I go to hates when I come in for fabric cause it takes me so long and I need so much help.
So I am trying to learn to machine quilt. I love to do the squares but at some point you have to put them all together and quilt them.
