Hello everyone!

I was planning on making a reservation for Minnie's breakfast (I really want to surprise my mom with a characters meal) but before doing so I wanted to read some of your opinions first! It would help me decide if it's the right choice for us! :D

1.- We're both adults (20 y/o me and 45 y/o mom) would the characters still visit our table or would they ignore us for not having kids with us? Is it a shared table?

2.- Should I make a reservation on MHP day? or the day before/after? (Is it cheaper on a specific day?)

3.- Is it better to do it early in the morning, around 8:30 - 9:00 or later 10:30?

Thank you so much!!! Sorry if the questions are kinda dumb but we havent had a character meal in years and I don't want to mess up!! Thank you!!!

The price is not likely to vary depending on the day. Low seasons (like January to May, and September to November) excluding Holidays have a slightly lower price, but it's not a day by day change. The characters will not ignore you just because you're adults. They are supposed to visit every table. Personally I prefer the first seating possible. But if you can't be out and at breakfast that early, a seating about an hour before close is better than a seating during the middle of the meal. If at all possible request to be seated inside.

I have dined here with my daughter - about the same ages as you and your mom - the characters will all come to your table, the same as they do with all families. How long they stay and interact is sort of up to you guys. If you talk a lot to them, they will play back, if you just give them a smile and a wave, they will understand and move along. I've done both as an adult. We ate at DW with the Disney Jr. characters who we didn't know, and they accommodated us. We have had great fun with the characters at Minnie's, especially Hook & Chip always seem to clown around a lot.

I don't believe the price varies by day, only season.

That is really up to you. I don't like to miss the all important early park hours. So I will book it one Magic Mornings before the park opens, or 10:30.

You will have a great time! It's a great breakfast!!

Characters do visit your table, it's not strange at al. One tip if you want to interact if you're as an adult party begin with it when they are at your table. Otherwise some characters just wave at you and give a quick hug! This especially can happen with an only adult party.

why request inside seating? I'm curious

I read a lot of reviews that when you do an outdoor seating characters ignore you or don't come out. I don't know if it's true but I'm gonna ask for an indoor seating 2 when I'm there.

Some people have said that they felt the characters were skipping them when they were outside. We ate inside our first time and during the first seating and we had no problems. We ate outside our second time a few hours after park opening. The restaurant was busy. It is further to get to the buffet and a bit annoying to walk up and down the stairs with food. We did still see a lot of characters, but I could see how people could get skipped. Many say they have been shoved in a corner outside during a busy seating and seen very few characters. If you're there at the end of the meal time I could see getting skipped outside as there are fewer people and they may not come to see you. If at all possible, I'd ask to sit inside.

We're doing first seating of the day, on our first day in Disneyland. Gf has never been to Disneyland, she loves the idea of meeting characters (she is very much a kid at heart). I was thinking outside because she can still see the hustle and bustle and feel very much in Disneyland. But I don't want her to miss out on characters either.

Lebestiole, I hope you and your mom have a wonderful breakfast and cool you are doing it with her, I might sometime do it with my dad.

Sounds like inside and either early or toward the end is the best way to go? I am planning to go the first week in December on that Friday. Not my intent to hijack this thread at all! I was wondering if during busier times of year it makes more sense to go earlier or later or doesn't matter? I may ask more specifics when it gets closer just was wondering. I've never done Minnie's before and would be all adults and definitely for the characters :) Thanks!

Thank you so much for your replies! :D It's decided, we're going! I hope she likes it!

Don't worry! Ask away! :)

We have been to Minnie's several times, seating both inside and out. And have never felt left out. We even got seated in a corner on the outside balcony and a Cast Member made sure we saw all the characters, even bringing them over to our table to make sure we got the interaction, and standing by while they visited so no one else would run up and ruin the experience. I LOVE Minnie's breakfast. An missed doing it the last time we were there. It is defiantly on our plans for this time. Hope you and your Mom have a GREAT time!

I called the dine line and was given the price over the phone. It wasn't on my original online reservation.

The price is one of the things, I Love about Minnie's! For all the characters you get, it's a great price!

I love Allears dot net...especially the dining and menus sections.
They list menus and prices for almost every restaurant to give you an idea of what the costs will be
