I made a reservation for the Minnie & Friends breakfast for an 8:10 a.m. slot. The park doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. that day.

I remember reading on an earlier thread that guests need to enter through a certain gate - does anyone remember which one?

And does a cast member escort your part directly to the breakfast? Can you take any pics of a nearly empty Dland on your way to breakfast?

I will have 2 kids in tow who will be very eager for a character breakfast. I've just never seen Main Street nearly empty before.

I do not have the answer to those questions. But I would think if you called Disney dining they would be able to tell you where you need to be to get into the Park. Ooh and I hope you get to take some empty DL pictures. That would be so sweet.

We just did this in jan, enter through gate 1, a cast member will have a sign for minnie and friends bfast and ask for your name and check you have a ps etc.
we got asked if we knew where the plaza inn was, my DF was like 'uhhhh' and the cm said i will take you but then i told him its ok i know where it is, so we walked there ourselves. you should be able to take some pictures as you walk up Main street.
Have fun! we were the first group in so all the characters came straight to us which was great and they kept coming back while we were there. Your kids will love it!!

Has anyone here been to this meal before? As far as characters go, it is the one I thought would best appeal to my boys. Plus, they love Mickey Waffles. However, the Unofficial Guide said the food is horrible. It described the bacon as soggy.

Has anyone been recently? Given the choice, should I do Minnie one day before park opening or wait and do Goofy's on our last day???

We are doing this breakfast on our anniversary! Part of the appeal is having a nearly empty park for pictures. Question though - is anyone else available to TAKE your picture? I want it empty, but at least one other person to play photographer. :rotfl2:

We did it in October. It was good, basic breakfast stuff, nothing extraordinary. There were some people sitting outside and it seemed as though the characters spent more time out there than inside, which was kind of irritating.

I don't recall the bacon being soggy but if I were to point out something to complain about it would be that the food wasnt hot.

It was still fun, we've been twice and im sure despite the cold food we will still go again. :)

We did this breakfast last March. We go for the characters, not for the food. The food at the buffet is cold, but the made-to-order omelets are ok.
We saw: Minnie Mouse, Pooh, Eeyore, Chip, Dale, Max (Goofy's son), Fairy Godmother, Capt Hook, & Rafiki. The kids loved it. So go for the fun & you won't be disappointed.
(and yes, we checked in at Gate 1 & you're name should "be on the list")

We did this. It's a buffet, so it's steam table stuff; it was ok and they had plenty of stuff that tasted just fine. There's a ton of variety. You're not there for the food so much, anyway; it's more the character interaction. They are usually reported to be very good with a lot of characters, etc. Of course, some people have had bad experiences there, but there will always be some people who unfortunately had a bad day or got a bad CM experience. Most of what I have read has been very positive.

Couple of pics of our experience there, on my trip report, link in my siggy below. It's on page 5, post #63.

My in-laws did this with ds1 in September and the LOVED it. They said the food was really good too.
