Minnie Complaint - OMG, now I've done it....

Troublemaker. ;) ;) ;) ;)

In all seriousness, though what in the world was she thinking?!?! :confused3

See, here we were all worried about you all at Jellyrolls.... when really we should have be worried about Judy slapping people at the start. :rotfl:

Only those that deserve it, my dear.

Hey Kevin, I just want you to know, Carrie wore a zebra skirt in the race. ;) You have a little competition there. She sure looked adorable!

I'm hoping it will be around the same weekend. My mom and I are hoping to get one last visit out of our annual pass before it expires May 3, 2008. Besides, I'm sure I'll really want an inaugural Princess medal!

I've noticed that they have booked off May 4, 2008 for the Inline Marathon Weekend. Hmmmm.... Surely they wouldn't book the Princess half later in May once it starts getting hotter..??

It would have been one of those Joan Collins in Dynasty slaps, right? Not one of those girly things? That I would have paid to see.... I would even have bailed you out. :rotfl: :rotfl:

And hey, imitation is the sincerest for of flattery, right??

Leana - The tentative date is May 1.

Judy - i'm still not convinced that the stripes didn't make my butt look big, though. :rotfl:

Thanks, Kevin, that would have been great, since we pretty much used up all the bail money before we even got out of the airport. And yes, it would have been a very loud Dallas/Dynasty type of witch slap! ;)

Carrie - Nope, no way. It looked really really cute. Have a look at the pictures! :goodvibes BTW this IS messing with my cruise dates! Grrrrrrr.

Kaley and I aren't terribly princessy either. I'm glad we did the Minnie when it was available.

Thanks for sending the email, Carrie. I think it was definitely something that needed to be said, especially if WDW wants to continue doing women-focused events. We need CMs that celebrate the women there, not diminish them.

Hearing that she is a runner puts the leisurely comment in a different light. If she has a faster pace for a few years, 12-15 minutes would be leisurely for her.

The unfit comment wasn't right but she was probably trying to figure out how to describe the Pooh sized runners there.

She has been at all the Disney races and triathlons I have been to in the past 3 years. I have a feeling she was joking with the guy DJ, who has also been there for the past 3 years, and she wound up not thinking before speaking. This is the first time I have heard any comments from her that could be construed as bad.

NOOOOOO!!!! I had put my foot down and told DH (he is fine with it, couldn't ask for a more supportive DH) that I WAS going to Disney for the Minnie in 2008!!!! :sad1:

*sigh* Well I'll still head down even if it's Princess but boy am I bummed that I won't get a Minnie :( I've been watching the site closely waiting for them to load the date and to see it officially announced as to the distance. I'm up for a Half if they do it.

Carrie!!! Way to go and I know what you mean about the principal's office LOL And now i have to hear about these sponges I keep seeing references too :)

Judy???? Don't hate me but I got a hug from BOTH Dave & Erica! :cool1:

Dave??? I saw the link to the photos in your signature line and LOVE the photos.

Too bad no more Minnie. We were at Pop and around 3:30 am Sunday our 2 y.o. threw up so my wife skipped the race. We were hoping she could try again next year. Oh well.

Robert - I realized that much later Friday. He did say that it would be "around there." :confused3 What can I say, I didn't get much sleep last week. :lmao:

Carrie:

Here is a response from a Disney Sports Atraaction's employee I received today:

"There have been no official decisions on the Minnie Marathon at this point, please continue to check www.disneysports.com as we should have information up about next year's events in the near future."

To me this only confirms what you have stated as Disney is very evasive on responses before they are on the website. This means the "official decision" to kill it will be on the website soon:(

Carrie -- I 'm so glad someone (you!) had the nerve to speak out about that DJ! Her comments really could've effected people even more than we realize! I was so happy to be able to participate in the race and so happy for *everyone* who did it, especially the last finisher, that those comments were just beyond inappropriate.

Thank you for speaking out about it.:cutie:

Hmmm...I'm not sure I'm into a Princess race. I'm much more of a Minnie girl myself. Princesses don't sweat, do they???

I'm with you -- I need a picture of the sponges b/c all I can think of is "sponge-worthy"! (Seinfeld fans will get it! :lmao: )

Sorry to hear there might not be a Minnie next year -- I was really getting psyched up to collect a Minnie medal to go with the Mickey that I'll (hopefully) get in January! I am definitely not a princess when I run!
