We did Goofy's Kitchen last year and wanted to try something different this year. I wanted to make sure I understood this correctly, is Minnies your typical serve yourself buffet or is it a buffet yet you're served at your table? I've read both so I just wanted to see which was correct. Also, anyone have the going price nowadays? Last price I saw was for 2005.
Oh and of course, anyone have any fun pictures they can share?:cool1:

The price, according to my fave menu site (but their name is blocked and I recently found out that trying to get around the censor by splitting up the words is a big no-no, so I'm at a loss as to how I can "legally" share the site) who updated most everything in October, is:

$23.99 adult

$11.99 children (3-9 years old)

(prices without tax, it says on the site)

It shows a list of items that seems like it's a plain ol' buffet. That said, when we were at Storyteller's Cafe during a time that was ONLY buffet, they still had servers bring the drinks, bring over fresh made Mickey waffles, and such...so you might not have to get your own beverages. :)

Minnie's is get your own beverage. Though, they "may" have brought coffee, but everything else we got ourselves. Milk came in a bottle, not a cup.

I enjoy Minnie's more than any of the other character breakfasts....mostly for the character interaction and the fact we are IN the park. DH loves their biscuits and gravy.

Thanks for the info Bumbershoot. I was "hoping" it was the other way around. I felt that at Goofy's, I barely got any food because I was afraid I'd miss the characters coming around to the tables. My BF would have been at the table with my son and mom would have missed it all. :(
I barely ate at Goofy's for that reason, it was a real bummer.

It is a buffet style breakfast. Where they seat you and you go up and get your food. Then the Characters come up to your table. We were there a month ago and had 9 characters stop by. The kids loved it. I don't have any of my pictures up loaded yet but I will try and get a few for you to see.

We did Minnie's this year and absolutely LOVED it. We had a great experience. I think the key is to be in one of the first seatings, which can be before the park opens. For example, if the park opens at 10am and they are doing EE at 9am you can have a reservation at 9:30am. Someone from the Plaza Inn comes out to the front gates and collects people that have a PS.

We were in one of the first seatings and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. The food was fresh and we got lots of time with lots of characters. Here are a few pics. I should have taken some of the food too, but I forgot. It was all very good though.

Just send BF off for all the food, then! :rotfl:

Buffets are hard for me b/c I can't stand leaving stuff alone at my table. We went to Storyteller's, and I gave DH my camera as I went to get food for me and DS. While I was away, Koda and Kenai and a park ranger came by, and DS ended up doing a follow the leader thing, while DH snapped pictures (man oh man is he a bad photographer, LOL). And it was all done by the time I got back! And of course the table was left all alone for anyone to root through our stuff.

Good luck making your decision!

FWIW, the Lilo and Stitch breakfast was good, and you could do it well before the parks open. The room seems/feels more open than, well, Storyteller's (I haven't been to Minnie's), and I could have looked over at our table to see what was going on while at the buffet, if I wanted to.

Well I think we're going to stick with Mickey's...I've just read such great reviews on it. So is 9:30 the earliest you can get reservations for if the park opens at 10? I didn't want to do it on one of our EE days if possible, I'd rather use that time for rides.

We have done the Minnie & Friends breakfast on both of our DL trips. The first time was great and the second was horrible. The reason was the second time we were seated outside. Make sure you request (demand) inside seating. When we were outside we were attacked by birds, only TWO characters came out, and by the time you walked back to your table your food is cold. We thought outside would be so nice, because it was a beautiful morning - WRONG! Get an inside table and you will love it!

We did Minnies on our December trip and had a great time. The food was buffet but my DH and I both agreed that it was better than average. I think we were expecting the worst since the focus was the characters but we were pleasantly surprised. We were at the 10:30 seating which worked out great time wise for us since we did rides early on, but it was very crowded. It took my husband about 20-30 minutes to get us all served. He did all the work and left us to enjoy the characters. It was very noble on his part, but I ended up craning my neck to see if he coming every few minutes. When I got up for drinks Captain Hook came and tapped him on his back. He was irritated and thought it was a rude patron backing into him. He was hungry and just wanted to eat. He said that he turned around and almost had a heart attack. :lmao: We saw many characters and I would post photos, but they would be similar to Mommytoally's photos. I would definitely do it again, but maybe earlier next time. Hey MommytoAlly, we were sitting at the exact same table you were at - I remember that long white table behind us!

We ate at Minnie's, and we really loved it. It is just a normal buffet, but DH and I took turns getting the food. I just waited for a pause in characters and looked back at the table every 5 seconds, waiting to run back if a character came. I'm sure the other people there thought I was crazy, but oh well.

We sat inside, back in a corner, so I was worried about seeing all the characters, but they all came to us. Well, Chip skipped us, but we chased him down. (To which my husband said, "you REALLY want us to go after him to get a picture?" and I said, "Yes! We paid for it! And everyone else is anyway, it's just one character!") That would be my one complaint about sitting in the corner, we would be character starved for a long time (good for going to get food) and then when the characters came all the kids would run up to them in flocks. But luckly the tables next to us remembered that the characters would come to YOU if you waited, and so our patient tables had the characters come to us.

I'm afraid I don't remember what we paid, but I'd trust bumbershoot.
