Minimum stay??

Is there a minimum stay policy for WDW and Universal Hotels? We have 2 extra nights at the beginning of our trip and deciding where to stay - but not sure if Disney have a 3 or 4 night minimum stay.

Anyone know?

We stayed for just one night at the Royal Pacific resort during our last trip - but I suspect the rate we paid was probably higher than if you stay 2 or more nights.

We're staying just one night at the Portofino Bay next time.

WDW definitely has no minimum stay requirements.

Actually WDW <i>do</i> have a minimum stay requirement if you are on one of their packages (ie. you have UPH tickets thrown in with the room) - the minimum stay is 3 nights. For room only though which I'm guessing you'll be doing as that's all most Brits want, there are no requirements

As far as I'm aware the minimum stay requirement no longer applies even if you do take the UPHT.

There's only a min stay at certain hotels over Christmas.

If you buy your UPH over the front desk at arrival, there is no minimum stay required as technically you've had room only booked and are simply buying a theme park ticket.

However, I was talking about packages (ie the Dream Maker package where you are buying your UPH in advance) for that, there is a 3 night minimum stay

Yes, I was talking about room only as I assumed you had made other arrangements for park entrance as you are in a villa for the majority of your holiday. Sorry for any confusion !
