i'm planning a solo trip.

i like to keep things neat and compact when staying at hotels which means my belongings will be in drawers or the cubby area of the dresser and not lying all over the place for mousekeeping to have to clean around.

whats the minimum i could tip each day considering the room will be pretty neat and tidy?

Tipping mousekeeping is a hot topic here on the DIS. You should know that housekeeping is not considered a tipped position at WDW so they are paid a wage that was negotiated with that in mind. Some people believe that is enough, others think its appropriate to tip a few bucks a day.

I never used to leave a tip until I started a job very much like housekeeping at a local college. I receive an excellent wage and benefits, but still become excited and feel appreciated when I receive a few dollars as a "Thank You".

My DD16 and I are like you and keep the room tidy and organized (to the extent of tying up the trash everyday and setting it by the door...OCD I guess )

We always stay "value" and I usually leave $2-$3 a day. Christmas Day I usually leave more as I feel sorry for anyone having to work on the holiday.

It all boils down to your personal decision.
