Minimum Age For HM?? Need experienced riders w/ kids advice....

My youngest (now 6) has been on it multiple times, although every now and then she decides not to go. My 10 year old has always refused to go on it and doesn't even like us mentioning it (although she'll watch the movie). In her presence, we can only refer to the ride as "Hello Mama."

My DD, then 4.5, cried after her first HM ride. (Yes, after. A little odd). Fifteen minutes later, she wanted to ride again. We did, and she was fine.

This has been her M.O. on HM, Splash and BTMRR, the last two being her most favorite attractions in all of WDW. On her first ride on BTMRR, she started crying halfway up the first hill. I talked her through the entire ride ("Look! A goat! Look! Another goat!"). Getting off the ride, and still crying, she said she wanted to go on it again.

On the second ride, on the way down the first hill, something hit me in the head. I thought it was a bird. It was my DD, then 5, holding her arms up in the air like the teenagers she saw ahead of us. We ended up riding seven times in a row that day. Now I can't get her out of Frontierland.

I have two boys- 4 and 6. DS6 loves HM, and always has, since the 1st visit at age 2. DS 4 is another story. He did not want to go until I explained to him that the ghosts are not real and they are "Mickey Mouse just joking with you." Now he's fine and looks forward to Mickey's jokes.

Also, is the kids get scared in the stretching room, there is a back exit before the doom buggies. Just ask a CM.

My DS and DD both age 3 at the time begged to go on HM on our last trip. We explained about the pretend ghosts and other scary stuff and they still wanted to go so we gave it a try. They loved it! Even my DS who is usually scared of EVERYTHING had a great time.
