Just got back from my Disney trip and thought I'd give some details about the new Ibis hotel at Val D' Europe as there isn't much information about it.

The hotel is very nice but a little basic. It's very new so it has a clean feeling. The rooms are about the same size as the rooms in Santa Fe but only have one double bed (so not suitable for families). The rooms have a nice flat screen tv but it only had one English language channel (BBC World). There were many French Movie Channels, French Disney Channel and a German channel.

There are no Tea/Coffee making facilities in the room which is a shame. There's also no hair-dryer but you can get them from reception (€20 deposit)

The bathroom is quite nice and has a very large shower (but no bath)

The overall feel of the room is modern, it's a bit like a Holiday Inn Express or a modern Travelodge.

The hotel offers Breakfast for €7 which was quite nice. Normal Croissants, cereal etc... They also offer an evening menu which is mainly pasta. It was well priced but we didn't try it.

The hotel has a luggage store so you can dump your stuff in there after you've checked out.

The hotel is located 10 seconds away from the Val D' Europe train station. The station has 2 exits. One is labelled Val D' Europe shopping centre, I can't remember what the other one is labelled but it's the one you want! If you take the shopping centre exit you will probably end up getting lost as it isn't obvious where to go! The train takes 2mins to Disney (literally!) and costs €1.45 for adults. On the ticket machine select "English">"tickets to Paris region from this station">"M">Marne La Vallee Parc Disney. I say this because many people were buying the wrong ticket type and couldn't get through the gates.

When you leave the station you will see the hotel infront of you on the left. It shares a building with Etap which offers rooms for 3 people and has very good rates (€50 a night) The Ibis only has double rooms @ €76.

The best thing about the hotel was its location. I found it quicker to get back to from the parks then many of the on-site hotels (Santa-Fe, Cheyenne, Holiday Inn etc...) It's also a lot easier getting the train than squashing on the shuttle-busses!

Sorry for the lack of photos (we decided on a camera-less trip this time!) The photos on the website are not of this hotel but another Ibis elsewhere. The room is slightly better than the photos suggest.

Summary: If you're a couple looking for a good, cheap hotel away from the madness of the parks you should look no further!

If you're a family you might want to check out the etap next door!

Yes thank you :goodvibes I've added it to the Budget Hotel Links on the Hotel FAQ sticky.
