Fess up, you can fly can't you:lmao::rolleyes1

I remember specifically a busy day in mid-March where, at one time, I had yet-to-expire FPs for Pan, Space, Splash, Pooh, and--this is cheating--PhilharMagic. Since I was the runner for the group, I had six copies of each.

And I bet I could fly a multi-engine turbofan jet in a pinch. ;)

I miss having flexibility with the FP return time as well. :headache:

What I'm seeing is despite a decrease in flexibility by not being able to use FPs when you want, there are multiple reports of an increase in consistency -- more FPs available, shorter waits, shorter FP lines.

It isn't bad, it isn't good. It is what it is.

I think they purposely created unhappiness so that they could end it...much like the thug who will protect your car from himself, for a fee (but obviously without threat of actual harm or criminal activity, for all the extremely literal out there.)

The FastPass™ Protection Racket... Priceless! :rotfl:

I hope they are not taking a page out of Universal's playbook-pay extra, and go to the front!!! I hated the thought of that!!! We all pay enough to get in,leave well enough alone. We used to save FP for later too,but I don't think we'll have a problem"conforming"to the rules.;)

Also, they're all out of the park by closing. Not a minute later. Ever.

And they'd never, ever, in a million years, accept a complimentary room upgrade, because, by Walt Disney's ghost, they paid for a standard view, and that's what's printed on their reservations form.

I mean, why print "standard view" on the form if they aren't going to stay in that room, right?

Flying it isn't the hard part -- landing it is. Safely.

Anyone can land an airplane. Once. Doing so in a manner from which one can walk away, and someone else can use the airplane again -- not so much.

Those special FP are more than magic. We used them in Paris. They came with the room and we loved them. As soon as they introduce this passes we will buy them or what will be far more likely they will come with the rooms on CL or suites

We had no problems getting and using lots of fast passes when we were there in May after the enforcement happened. We just stuck around that part of the park if our return window was within an hour or so. No big deal. There was plenty to do with very little wait during our trip.

The only time we felt like we were rushing all around the park and had issues with a return time and a meal was the day we got to have a test of the new fast pass xpass system! One of our return times was 12-1, which was when we planned to eat lunch. We decided to just skip that one since we were eating at Cosmic Rays (and wanted to eat around noon since everyone was really hungry) and the fast pass was for haunted mansion. We didn't make it there by 1 since it took time to get everyone's food, get 3 kids to eat well, potty breaks, change a diaper, etc. No big deal since we rode HM many other times during our trip in the standby line with little to no wait.

The whole point of the FP system was to give guests a "shorter" wait for the attractions. If everyone "uses and abuses" the system then that makes FP pointless. If everyone who got FPs returned whenever they felt like it, the FP line would turn into the same thing as the regular standby line.

We actually ran into a bad case of this on our last trip. We wanted to ride Dinosaur (which we deem as a FP ride if over a 15 minute wait). When we got our FPs the standby time was 20 minutes. We returned during our window of time just to see a large tour group of at least 100 people in the FP line with the "ringleader" of the group standing at the front handing out a huge stack of FPs. There is no way that those were in the current window. If we would of used our FP there is no way that the line was shorter than the standby line. Because of that group "bending" the rules we did not ride that ride. AK is our least favorite park, we do not spend tons of time there and as I said we do not want to wait more than 15 minutes to ride that ride. We were essentially penalized for being on time....not right .

I agree with what Disney has done....there needed to be a crackdown on this. I am actually surprised they let it go on as long as they did. How hard is it to follow rules....seriously :confused3......

You are right, but I like my chances with that too.

Sorry to go :offtopic:.

It is certainly possible for over 100 people to be within the same FP wimdow. Over the course of an hour, I'm sure there are hundreds of FPs whose return times fall in there.

This will still happen unfortunately.

Well that's nice that it works out for y'all, but what about us"Po-Folk"that don't have the financial where-with-all to afford it?Some things should be left alone. It costs enough already for us to just make the trip, and value at that, yet alone paying more to have a "fast-pass".I would, however appreciate donations for said"magic"if it does in fact end up going to a "pay more-play better"system.I guess it all just comes down to what income bracket we all live in;As Usual...

Do you stay on Disney property when you come? Take advantage of EMH? If so, you participate in "Economic Discrimination".

Touche'....In a sense,I guess so...We have been on-property,and off,but the EXTRA CHARGE for that type of pass changes the whole dynamic-Without the charge ALL guests have EQUAL accsess,With it,ONLY those who can afford it have that accsess-see what I'm sayin"?:confused3

Well welcome to this Po Folk family. We work and save for a vacation. Some things should be left alone? Why?
If some one has the money to pay for perks good for them. We see very often people on VIP tours witch cost 1500 Dollar per day. I'm not jealous and hope they have a magical day because they paid for it.

We are at WDW now and visited DHS and MK. We used to collect fp to use later in the day. Although we did have to think a little more about if getting a fp would work for our other scheduled activities (JTA and lunch reservations) we got all the fp we wanted and noticed that the fp return lines were significantly shorter than they used to be and we don't usually come during such busy times of the year. I also think that fp may last a little longer since people will only pull then if they can use them during that time.

We are going back to Universal this fall, but I'm nervous of what the other half will say when we don't go to the front of the line...We are staying at CSR the whole trip instead of a night or two at the Royal Pacific. The no limit FOTL pass, included with staying onsite at Universal, can be very valuable when the parks are busy. At least I can buy an Express Pass if the lines are long.

Fortunately, we can afford to stay deluxe but haven't lately. However, if Xpass includes FOTL access we will ONLY book deluxe from then on. (Are you listening Disney?)

Please no whining about what you can not afford! I would love a Bentley Continental convertible, but it just ain't happening.

So, let me get this straight, a hotel room upgrade is "pixie dust", but Disney allowing us to use our fast passes late isn't "pixie dust", it's some sort of crime? I just don't get it?

Not to sound rude or anything but I was at WDW this past week (June 2nd-9th) and the FP lines may have been rather long at times, but the lines moved way faster than the stand-by lines and the longest I may have been in line for in the FP line was 15 minutes compared to the long stand-by wait time.

Personally I loved the allocated time that you are supposed to return at, and I didn't try to get a fastpass for every ride that had the FP capability, some of the rides that have the FP option imo aren't worth the FP at all.

If people had no time restrictions for the fast pass, I'm rather certain that there would be no point in having a FP because both the Stand-by line & FP line would be the same amount of time instead of a shorter wait period. They'd just have two stand-by lines instead of an actual shorter wait time.

I love the FP system now, more than what it was like before. I hated it when people would just come whenever they pleased instead of the actual time, made lines longer really.
